กต. นำคณะทูตจาก สอท. มุสลิมประจำประเทศไทย เดินทางเยือนจังหวัดชายแดนภาคใต้ (จชต.)
เมื่อวันที่ ๒๕ กรกฎาคม ๒๕๖๖ นางสาวบุษฏี สันติพิทักษ์ รองปลัดกระทรวงการต่างประเทศ นำคณะทูตและอุปทูตจาก สอท. มุสลิมประจำประเทศไทย ๑๐ ประเทศ ประกอบด้วย มาเลเซีย คูเวต โอมาน อียิปต์ อินโดนีเซีย ตุรกี โมร็อกโก ซาอุดีอาระเบียปากีสถาน และกาตาร์ เดินทางเยือน จชต. เพื่อให้คณะทูตฯ รับทราบสถานการณ์ในพื้นที่ จชต. รวมทั้งนโยบายและผลลัพธ์ที่เป็นรูปธรรมของการดำเนินการของรัฐบาลในการแก้ไขปัญหาใน จชต. ทั้งในมิติความมั่นคงและการพัฒนา
คณะทูตฯ ได้รับฟังการบรรยายสรุปนโยบายรัฐบาลในการแก้ปัญหา จชต. จากผู้แทนสมช. รวมทั้งงานด้านความมั่นคงใน จชต. จากผู้แทน กอ.รมน. ภาค ๔ และงานด้านการพัฒนา จชต. จาก ลขธ.ศอ.บต. ที่ ศอ.บต.
ในวันเดียวกัน คณะทูตฯ ได้เดินทางไปรับฟังแนวทางการบริหารงานและการพัฒนาเทศบาลนครยะลาจากนายกเทศมนตรีเทศบาลนครยะลา และเรียนรู้ภารกิจของศูนย์ขับเคลื่อนการศึกษาใน จชต. พร้อมได้พบปะกับผู้แทนศิษย์เก่าที่สำเร็จการศึกษาจากประเทศมุสลิม ที่ศูนย์การเรียนรู้ TK Park ยะลาด้วย
MFA led the Islamic diplomatic corps to visit the Southern Border Provinces (SBP) of Thailand
On 25 July 2023, H.E. Ms. Busadee Santipitaks, Deputy Permanent Secretary for Foreign Affairs, led Ambassadors and representatives from Embassies of 10 muslim countries, namely, Malaysia, Kuwait, Oman, Egypt, Indonesia, Turkey, Morocco, Saudi Arabia, Pakistan, and Qatar, to the SBP of Thailand to learn more about policies of the Thai government on the situation in the SBP and concrete outcomes of policy implementation, in both security and development aspects.
The diplomatic corps were briefed about the overview of Thai government’s policy on the SBP and its key achievements, security measures, and development projects in the SBP by representatives from the NSC, the ISOC 4, and the Secretary-General of the SBPAC at the SBPAC.
Later on the same day, at TK Park Yala, the group was presented an overview of administrative management and development projects in Yala City by the Mayor of Yala City Municipality, followed by a briefing by the Centre for Propelling Education in Southern Border Provinces (CPES). Afterwards, the diplomatic corps also had an informal meeting with alumni representatives who graduated from Islamic countries.
