เอกอัครราชทูต ณ กรุงปราก ได้เข้าร่วมพิธีทำบุญวันมหาสงกรานต์ที่วัดธรรมกิตติวงศ์ กรุงปราก
เมื่อวันที่ 15 เมษายน 2566 นางสาวภาสพร สังฆสุบรรณ์ เอกอัครราชทูต ณ กรุงปรากได้เข้าร่วมพิธีทำบุญวันมหาสงกรานต์ที่วัดธรรมกิตติวงศ์ กรุงปราก พร้อมด้วยเจ้าหน้าที่ของสถานเอกอัครราชทูต ผู้อำนวยการสำนักงานส่งเสริมการค้าในต่างประเทศและชุมชนชาวไทยในสาธารณรัฐเช็ก ภายในงานชุมชนไทยได้ร่วมสวดพระพุทธมนต์ถวายไทยธรรมแด่พระสงฆ์ และรับพรเนื่องในวันสงกรานต์
นอกจากนี้ เอกอัครราชทูตฯ ยังได้ร่วมกับชุมชนไทยสรงน้ำพระพุทธรูป และสรงน้ำพระสงฆ์ รวมทั้งได้ร่วมอนุโมทนาบุญเจ้าภาพโรงทานและบุญผ้าป่ามหาสงกรานต์ด้วย ซึ่งในโอกาสดังกล่าว เอกอัครราชทูตฯ ได้กล่าวอวยพรวันปีใหม่ไทย และเน้นย้ำถึงความงดงามของเทศกาลสงกรานต์ซึ่งเป็นประเพณีเฉลิมฉลองวันขึ้นปีใหม่ของชาวไทยที่มีมาแต่โบราณที่ควรค่าแก่การอนุรักษ์ เต็มไปด้วยบรรยากาศของความกตัญญู การให้เกียรติซึ่งกันและกัน โดยชุมชนไทยในต่างประเทศมีบทบาทสำคัญที่จะช่วยรักษาและสืบสานขนบธรรมเนียมประเพณีไทยที่งดงามเช่นนี้ไว้ให้คงอยู่ต่อไป อนึ่ง ประเทศไทยได้เสนอให้ “ประเพณีสงกรานต์ในประเทศไทย” เป็นรายการตัวแทนมรดกทางวัฒนธรรมที่จับต้องไม่ได้ของมนุษยชาติต่อ UNESCO ซึ่งได้รับการบรรจุใน tentative list ของ UNESCO เรียบร้อยแล้ว และคาดว่าจะได้รับการพิจารณาจากIntergovernmental Committee for the Safeguarding of Intangible Cultural Heritage ปลายปีนี้
นอกจากนี้ เอกอัครราชทูตฯ ได้ใช้โอกาสนี้กล่าวสนับสนุนให้คนไทยในสาธารณรัฐเช็กที่ได้ลงทะเบียนขอใช้สิทธิเลือกตั้งนอกราชอาณาจักรได้ไปใช้สิทธิลงคะแนนเลือกตั้งที่ที่เลือกตั้ง ณ สถานเอกอัครราชทูต ณ กรุงปราก ในวันที่ 24 และ 25 เมษายน 2566 ระหว่างเวลา 8.00 – 17.30 น.

คนไทยในเช็ก On 15 April 2023, Her Excellency Ms. Phasporn Sangasubana, Ambassador of Thailand to the Czech Republic, attended the Maha Songkran merit-making ceremony at Wat Dhammakittiwong Prague, together with officials and staff of the Royal Thai Embassy, the Director of the Thai Trade Centre Office in Prague and the Thai community in Prague. During the event, the Thai community joined together to recite the Buddha’s mantra, to present the monks with Buddhist monks’ robes and essential items, as well as to bath the Buddha image or “Song Nam Phra”. Furthermore, the Royal Thai Embassy also took part in the charity meal preparation organised by the temple.
On this occasion, Her Excellency the Ambassador wished the participants a Happy Thai New Year and emphasised the significance of Songkran, a centuries-old festival that deserves to be preserved. The “Songkran” celebration is rich in tradition and culture. Thai communities abroad play an important role in transmitting this exquisite tradition to the new generation of Thais raised abroad. In addition, Her Excellency the Ambassador informed the Thai community that UNESCO has already approved the inclusion of “Songkran in Thailand, a traditional Thai New Year festival” in the tentative list to be considered as Thailand’s intangible cultural heritage. The Intergovernmental Committee for the Safeguarding of Intangible Cultural Heritage will consider this matter at the end of this year.
Furthermore, Her Excellency the Ambassador took the opportunity to encourage Thais residing in the Czech Republic, who has already registered for overseas voting, to exercise their voting rights at the Royal Thai Embassy in Prague on 24 – 25 April 2023 from 8:00 to 17:30 hrs.
