เข้าร่วมการประชุมคณะรัฐมนตรีนอกสถานที่ ณ จังหวัดสงขลา
เมื่อวันที่ 1 กันยายน 2569 นายสีหศักดิ์ พวงเกตุแก้ว รองนายกรัฐมนตรีและรัฐมนตรีว่าการกระทรวงการต่างประเทศ เข้าร่วมการประชุมคณะรัฐมนตรีนอกสถานที่ ณ จังหวัดสงขลา ซึ่งมีนายอนุทิน ชาญวีรกูล นายกรัฐมนตรี เป็นประธาน ณ ศูนย์ประชุมนานาชาติฉลองสิริราชสมบัติครบ 60 ปี มหาวิทยาลัยสงขลานครินทร์ โดยการเข้าร่วมการประชุมดังกล่าวสะท้อนบทบาทของกระทรวงการต่างประเทศในการสนับสนุนการทำงานของรัฐบาลแบบบูรณาการ เพื่อขับเคลื่อนประเด็นการพัฒนาที่มีความสำคัญต่อพื้นที่ภาคใต้ของประเทศไทย
รองนายกรัฐมนตรีฯ เดินทางไปปฏิบัติราชการ ณ จังหวัดสงขลา ระหว่างวันที่ 30 – 31 สิงหาคม 2569 เพื่อรับฟังและติดตามประเด็นสำคัญของพื้นที่ ตลอดจนส่งเสริมการพัฒนาภูมิภาคและเสริมสร้างความเชื่อมโยงในพื้นที่จังหวัดชายแดนภาคใต้ สอดคล้องกับความมุ่งมั่นของรัฐบาลในการตอบสนองต่อความต้องการของประชาชนและยกระดับการพัฒนาในระดับพื้นที่ โดยได้เป็นประธานการประชุมกลุ่มย่อยด้านความมั่นคง ซึ่งเป็นส่วนหนึ่งของการประชุมเชิงปฏิบัติการที่เปิดโอกาสให้ผู้แทนทุกภาคส่วนจาก 5 จังหวัดชายแดนภาคใต้ร่วมแลกเปลี่ยนความคิดเห็นและระดมข้อเสนอเพื่อแก้ไขปัญหาและตอบสนองต่อความต้องการของพื้นที่อย่างเป็นรูปธรรม โดยมุ่งสนับสนุนการพัฒนาที่ยั่งยืนและยกระดับคุณภาพชีวิตของประชาชนในภูมิภาค ทั้งยังได้เข้าร่วมการประชุมใหญ่ (Plenary Session) ของการประชุมเชิงปฏิบัติการดังกล่าว ซึ่งมีนายอนุทิน ชาญวีรกูล นายกรัฐมนตรี เป็นประธาน ณ มหาวิทยาลัยเทคโนโลยีราชมงคลศรีวิชัย วิทยาเขตสงขลา
รองนายกรัฐมนตรีฯ ยังได้พบหารือกับภาคประชาสังคมและผู้มีส่วนได้ส่วนเสียในพื้นที่เกี่ยวกับแนวทางการส่งเสริม “สงขลาและชุมชนที่เกี่ยวเนื่องริมทะเลสาบสงขลา” ขึ้นทะเบียนเป็นแหล่งมรดกโลกขององค์การยูเนสโก (UNESCO World Heritage Site) ซึ่งจะช่วยส่งเสริมการอนุรักษ์คุณค่าทางธรรมชาติและวัฒนธรรมของพื้นที่ ควบคู่ไปกับการสร้างโอกาสในการพัฒนาเศรษฐกิจและสังคมในท้องถิ่นอย่างยั่งยืน
รองนายกรัฐมนตรีฯ ยังได้เดินทางไปตรวจเยี่ยมด่านศุลกากรปาดังเบซาร์ อำเภอสะเดา เพื่อรับทราบการดำเนินงานของจุดผ่านแดนและหารือแนวทางเพิ่มประสิทธิภาพการให้บริการ ตลอดจนรับฟังปัญหาและอุปสรรคในการปฏิบัติงาน โดยมุ่งอำนวยความสะดวก ในการเดินทางและการขนส่งข้ามแดน สนับสนุนการค้า การเชื่อมโยง และกิจกรรมทางเศรษฐกิจบริเวณชายแดนไทย – มาเลเซีย ตลอดจนได้ตรวจเยี่ยมสำนักงานหนังสือเดินทางชั่วคราว สงขลา เพื่อเป็นขวัญและกำลังใจแก่บุคลากรของสำนักงานฯ และมอบทิศทางการให้บริการในอนาคตสำหรับประชาชนในพื้นที่ของสำนักงานฯ
On 1 September 2026, H.E. Mr. Sihasak Phuangketkeow, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs, attended the mobile Cabinet meeting No. 1/2026 in Songkhla province, chaired by H.E. Mr. Anutin Charnvirakul, Prime Minister, at the 60th Anniversary of His Majesty the King’s Accession to the Throne International Convention Center, Prince of Songkla University. His participation reflected the Ministry of Foreign Affairs’s active role in supporting a coordinated, whole-of-government approach to advancing development priorities in Thailand’s southern region.
The Deputy Prime Minister paid a working visit to Songkhla province from 30 – 31 August 2026 to hear and follow up on key issues of the area, as well as to promote regional development and strengthen connectivity in the southern border provinces, in line with the Royal Thai Government’s commitment to addressing local priorities and advancing development at the local level. The Deputy Prime Minister presided over a focus-group discussion on security affairs, which formed part of a workshop bringing together representatives from all sectors across the five southern border provinces to exchange views and formulate proposals to address challenges and respond to the needs of the area in a concrete manner, with a view to supporting sustainable development and enhancing the well-being of communities in the region. He also attended the Plenary Session of the workshop, chaired by H.E. Mr. Anutin Charnvirakul, Prime Minister, at Rajamangala University of Technology Srivijaya, Songkhla Campus.
The Deputy Prime Minister also held discussions with civil society representatives on initiatives to advance “Songkhla and its Associated Lagoon Settlements” recognition as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. The initiative underscores the importance of preserving the area’s cultural and natural heritage while creating opportunities for sustainable local development.
The Deputy Prime Minister visited the Padang Besar Customs House in Sadao District to review the operations of the border checkpoint and exchange views on ways to enhance its efficiency. The visit also focused on addressing operational challenges and facilitating smoother cross-border movement, thereby supporting trade, connectivity, and economic activities along the Thailand – Malaysia border. The Deputy Prime Minister also visited the Songkhla Passport Office to provide encouragement and support to the personnel, as well as to offer guidance on the future direction of the Office’s delivery of services.
