ร่วมกล่าวปาฐกถาพิเศษหัวข้อ “Science & Space Diplomacy”
เมื่อวันที่ 28 ตุลาคม 2569 นายศรัณย์ เจริญสุวรรณ ผู้ช่วยรัฐมนตรีประจำกระทรวงการต่างประเทศ ร่วมกล่าวปาฐกถาพิเศษหัวข้อ “Science & Space Diplomacy” ในงานมหกรรมด้านอวกาศแห่งชาติ ประจำปี 2569 (Thailand Space Expo 2026) ณ ไอคอนสยาม ฮอลล์ ไอคอนสยาม กรุงเทพฯ ซึ่งจัดโดยสำนักงานพัฒนาเทคโนโลยีอวกาศและภูมิสารสนเทศ (องค์การมหาชน) (สทอภ. หรือ GISTDA) กระทรวงการอุดมศึกษา วิทยาศาสตร์ วิจัยและนวัตกรรม (อว.) และหน่วยงาน/องค์กรพันธมิตร โดยนายยศชนัน วงศ์สวัสดิ์ รองนายกรัฐมนตรีและรัฐมนตรีว่าการกระทรวงการอุดมศึกษา วิทยาศาสตร์ วิจัยและนวัตกรรม ได้กล่าวปาฐกถาพิเศษด้วย โดยมีผู้แทนภาคเอกชนจากต่างประเทศด้านเทคโนโลยีอวกาศร่วมนำเสนอผลงานด้านอวกาศในงานดังกล่าว
ผู้ช่วยรัฐมนตรีฯ ได้เน้นย้ำถึงบทบาทการทูตวิทยาศาสตร์ วิจัยและนวัตกรรม ในการส่งเสริมความร่วมมือระหว่างประเทศเพื่อยกระดับขีดความสามารถทางเทคโนโลยีของไทยและขับเคลื่อนเศรษฐกิจอวกาศให้เกิดประโยชน์ทางเศรษฐกิจอย่างเป็นรูปธรรม พร้อมผลักดันการพัฒนาบุคลากรและการมีส่วนร่วมของไทยในห่วงโซ่มูลค่าอุตสาหกรรมอวกาศโลก ควบคู่กับการส่งเสริมการใช้ประโยชน์จากอวกาศอย่างสันติ ปลอดภัย และยั่งยืน รวมถึงการขยายความร่วมมือในระดับอาเซียนเพื่อรับมือกับความท้าทายร่วมกัน
งานมหกรรมด้านอวกาศแห่งชาติจัดขึ้นเพื่อแสดงความก้าวหน้าของเทคโนโลยีอวกาศในมิติทางวิชาการ อุตสาหกรรม และการลงทุน อีกทั้งเพื่อสร้างโอกาสทางการลงทุนทั้งในไทยและระดับภูมิภาค พัฒนาผู้ประกอบการสตาร์ทอัพ และต่อยอดข้อมูลจากเทคโนโลยีอวกาศและระบบภูมิสารสนเทศให้เกิดมูลค่าทางเศรษฐกิจ ตลอดจนเสริมสร้างศักยภาพการแข่งขันของประเทศไทยในเวทีระหว่างประเทศ พร้อมทั้งเปิดพื้นที่การเรียนรู้และจุดประกายแรงบันดาลใจให้แก่เยาวชน นิสิต นักศึกษา และวิศวกรไทยให้ก้าวเข้าสู่ห่วงโซ่อุตสาหกรรมอวกาศระดับโลก
On 28 October 2026, H.E. Mr. Sarun Charoensuwan, Vice Minister for Foreign Affairs, delivered a keynote speech on “Science & Space Diplomacy” at Thailand Space Expo 2026, held at ICONSIAM HALL, Bangkok. The event is organised by the Geo-Informatics and Space Technology Development Agency (Public Organization) (GISTDA), the Ministry of Higher Education, Science, Research and Innovation (MHESI), and relevant partner agencies/organisations. On this occasion, H.E. Mr. Yodchanan Wongsawat, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Higher Education, Science, Research and Innovation, also delivered a keynote speech, while representatives from the private sector showcased their innovations and achievements to the audience.
The Vice Minister underscored the role of science, research and innovation diplomacy in strengthening international partnerships to enhance Thailand’s technological capabilities and translate the potential of the space economy into tangible economic benefits. The Vice Minister also highlighted the importance of developing human capital, promoting Thailand’s participation in the global space value chain, and advancing the peaceful, safe and sustainable use of outer space. Furthermore, he emphasised the importance of strengthening ASEAN cooperation to address shared regional challenges.
The Thailand Space Expo 2026 highlights Thailand’s advancements in space technology across academic, industrial, and investment sectors. The event aims to boost space-related investment opportunities and enhance Thailand’s competitiveness on the international stage. Furthermore, it serves to foster startups, monetise geospatial and space data, and inspire youth, university students, and Thai engineers to integrate into the global space industry supply chain.
