ร่วมการประชุมคณะกรรมาธิการร่วมว่าด้วยความร่วมมือทวิภาคีไทย – รัสเซีย ครั้งที่ 9
เมื่อวันที่ 14 สิงหาคม 2569 นายสีหศักดิ์ พวงเกตุแก้ว รองนายกรัฐมนตรีและรัฐมนตรีว่าการกระทรวงการต่างประเทศ เป็นประธานร่วมการประชุมคณะกรรมาธิการร่วมว่าด้วยความร่วมมือทวิภาคีไทย – รัสเซีย ครั้งที่ 9 ร่วมกับนายอะเลกเซย์ เชคุนคอฟ (Aleksey Chekunkov) รัฐมนตรีว่าการกระทรวงการพัฒนาภูมิภาคตะวันออกไกลและอาร์กติกรัสเซีย ณ กรุงมอสโก
การประชุมให้ความสำคัญกับการส่งเสริมความร่วมมือทางเศรษฐกิจ โดยเฉพาะการขยายการค้าและการลงทุน ซึ่งฝ่ายไทยผลักดันการเริ่มการเจรจาความตกลงเขตการค้าเสรีไทย-สหภาพเศรษฐกิจยูเรเซีย (Eurasian Economic Union: EAEU) การแก้ไขอุปสรรคทางการค้าและเพิ่มโอกาสในการเข้าถึงตลาดสำหรับสินค้าไทย อาทิ สินค้าเกษตรและอาหาร ทั้งสองฝ่ายยังได้หารือถึงความร่วมมือการอำนวยความสะดวกทางการค้า และการส่งเสริมการลงทุนระหว่างกัน ซึ่งจะมีการจัดการประชุม Russia – Thailand Investment Forum ครั้งที่ 2 ที่กรุงเทพฯ ในเดือนตุลาคม 2569
ทั้งสองฝ่ายได้หารือถึงโอกาสของความร่วมมือด้านความมั่นคงทางพลังงาน ความมั่นคงทางอาหาร การเชื่อมโยงด้านการคมนาคม และการท่องเที่ยว ซึ่งรัสเซียเป็นแหล่งนักท่องเที่ยวที่สำคัญของไทย โดยในครึ่งแรกของปี 2569 มีนักท่องเที่ยวรัสเซียเดินทางมาประเทศไทยประมาณ 1 ล้านคน
ในโอกาสนี้ ประธานร่วมทั้งสองฝ่ายแลกเปลี่ยนเอกสารผลลัพธ์การประชุม (Agreed Minutes) ซึ่งครอบคลุมความร่วมมือด้านต่าง ๆ อาทิ การค้าการลงทุน เกษตร พลังงาน อุตสาหกรรม การท่องเที่ยว การศึกษา และการรับมือกับการเปลี่ยนแปลงสภาพภูมิอากาศ
การประชุมครั้งนี้เป็นส่วนหนึ่งของการดำเนินการด้านการทูตเศรษฐกิจของไทย เพื่อสร้างโอกาสใหม่ให้แก่ภาคธุรกิจไทย เสริมสร้างการค้า การลงทุน และความเชื่อมโยงระหว่างกัน โดยมีผู้บริหารหอการค้าไทย สภาอุตสาหกรรมแห่งประเทศไทย สภาธุรกิจไทย-รัสเซีย และบริษัทชั้นนำของไทยจากภาคอุตสาหกรรมเกษตรและอาหาร พลังงาน ผลิตภัณฑ์เพื่อสุขภาพ ICT ยานยนต์และชิ้นส่วน ได้ร่วมเดินทางและพบหารือกับภาคส่วนที่เกี่ยวข้องของรัสเซีย เพื่อแสวงหาโอกาสความร่วมมือทางธุรกิจต่อไป
On 14 August 2026, H.E. Mr. Sihasak Phuangketkeow, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs, co-chaired the 9th Session of the Thailand – Russia Joint Commission on Bilateral Cooperation with H.E. Mr. Aleksey Chekunkov, Minister for the Development of the Russian Far East and the Arctic, in Moscow.
The meeting placed emphasis on promoting economic cooperation, particularly expanding trade and investment. Thailand sought support for the commencement of negotiations on a Thailand – Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU) Free Trade Agreement, as well as addressing trade barriers and enhancing market access opportunities for Thai products, including agricultural and food products. Both sides also discussed cooperation on trade facilitation and investment promotion with the 2nd Russian – Thai Investment Forum to be held in Bangkok in October 2026.
In addition, both sides discussed opportunities for cooperation in energy security, food security, transport connectivity, and tourism, of which Russia is an important tourist source with approximately 1 million Russians visiting Thailand in the first half of 2026.
On this occasion, the two Co-Chairs exchanged the Agreed Minutes, covering cooperation in various areas, including trade and investment, agriculture, energy, industry, tourism, education, and addressing climate change.
The meeting formed part of Thailand’s economic diplomacy efforts to create new opportunities for the Thai business sector, strengthen trade, investment and connectivity between the two countries. Executives from the Thai Chamber of Commerce, the Federation of Thai Industries, the Thai – Russian Business Council, and leading Thai companies in the agriculture and food, energy, health products, ICT, automotive and auto parts sectors joined the delegation and held discussions with relevant Russian counterparts to explore further opportunities for business cooperation
