หัวข้อ “The Transformative Impact of OECD Accession”
เมื่อวันที่ 2 มิถุนายน 2569 นางสาวรุจิกร แสงจันทร์ อธิบดีกรมเศรษฐกิจระหว่างประเทศ ร่วมกล่าวในกิจกรรมแลกเปลี่ยนประสบการณ์การเข้าเป็นสมาชิก OECD หัวข้อ “The Transformative Impact of OECD Accession” ซึ่งสาธารณรัฐเกาหลีเป็นเจ้าภาพจัดขึ้น ณ สำนักงานใหญ่ OECD กรุงปารีส โดยผู้แทนระดับสูงจาก 7 ประเทศที่อยู่ระหว่างกระบวนการเข้าเป็นสมาชิก OECD ได้แก่ เปรู อาร์เจนตินา โรมาเนีย บัลแกเรีย โครเอเชีย อินโดนีเซีย และไทย ร่วมแลกเปลี่ยนประสบการณ์และมุมมองเกี่ยวกับกระบวนการเข้าเป็นสมาชิก OECD ต่อการพัฒนาประเทศ
อธิบดีกรมเศรษฐกิจฯ ชื่นชมวิสัยทัศน์ของเกาหลีใต้ในการเข้าร่วม OECD และปฏิรูปโครงสร้างเศรษฐกิจที่เน้นด้านวิทยาศาสตร์ เทคโนโลยี และนวัตกรรม รวมถึงเศรษฐกิจสร้างสรรค์ จนสามารถนำพาให้เกาหลีใต้เติบโตอย่างรวดเร็ว และย้ำว่า การเข้าเป็นสมาชิก OECD เป็นวาระแห่งชาติของไทย และไทยตั้งเป้าหมายเข้าเป็นสมาชิกภายในปี 2571 โดยกระบวนการดังกล่าวเป็นโอกาสในการเตรียมความพร้อมของประเทศสำหรับการพัฒนาในระยะต่อไปและหลุดพ้นจากการเป็นประเทศรายได้ปานกลาง โดยจะเป็นกลไกสำคัญในการปฏิรูปและยกระดับมาตรฐานของไทยใน 3 มิติ ได้แก่ (1) การยกระดับมาตรฐานด้านกฎระเบียบ ธรรมาภิบาล และประสิทธิภาพภาครัฐให้สอดคล้องกับสากล (2) การเสริมสร้างขีดความสามารถในการแข่งขันและความเชื่อมั่นของนักลงทุน รวมทั้งช่วยให้ไทยเชื่อมโยงกับประเทศสมาชิก OECD ได้ลึกซึ้งยิ่งขึ้น และ (3) การสร้างประโยชน์ที่เป็นรูปธรรมต่อประชาชนไทย ทั้งด้านการศึกษา การพัฒนาทักษะ การคุ้มครองแรงงาน และความดูแลสิ่งแวดล้อม เพื่อให้การเติบโตของไทยเป็นไปอย่างครอบคลุมและยั่งยืน
นอกจากนี้ อธิบดีกรมเศรษฐกิจฯ ได้ยืนยันความมุ่งมั่นของไทยที่จะทำงานร่วมกับ OECD และประเทศหุ้นส่วนต่าง ๆ อย่างใกล้ชิด เพื่อขับเคลื่อนกระบวนการเข้าเป็นสมาชิก OECD ให้เกิดผลอย่างเป็นรูปธรรมและนำไปสู่การพัฒนาที่ยั่งยืนต่อทุกภาคส่วน อนึ่ง สาธารณรัฐเกาหลีจัดกิจกรรมนี้ขึ้นเนื่องในปีนี้ครบรอบ 30 ปี การเข้าเป็นสมาชิก OECD ของสาธารณรัฐเกาหลี
On 2 June 2026, H.E. Ms. Rujikorn Saengchantr, Director-General of the International Economic Department, Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Thailand, delivered remarks at the High-Level Event on “The Transformative Impact of OECD Accession” hosted by the Republic of Korea at the OECD Headquarters in Paris. This forum brought together high-level representatives from seven OECD accession countries—Peru, Argentina, Romania, Bulgaria, Croatia, Indonesia, and Thailand—to exchange views and experiences on how the OECD accession process contributes to national development.
In her remarks, the Director-General commended the Republic of Korea’s vision in pursuing OECD acession and undertaking economic restructuring centered on science, technology, innovation, and the creative economy, which has enabled the country to achieve rapid economic growth. She further underscored that Thailand sees OECD accession as a strategic national priority and aims to become a member by 2028. Thailand views the accession process as an important opportunity to prepare the country for its next phase of development and escape the middle income trap. The process also serves as a key mechanism in advancing reform and raise national standards in 3 important dimensions: (1) strengthening Thailand’s regulatory framework, governance standards, and public sector efficiency in line with international standards; (2) enhancing Thailand’s competitiveness and investor confidence, while deepening Thailand’s integration into the OECD community of 38 advanced economies; and (3) bringing tangible benefits to the Thai people, including in education, skills development, labour protection, and environmental sustainability, helping ensure that Thailand’s growth remains inclusive and sustainable.
The Director-General also reaffirmed Thailand’s commitment to working closely with the OECD and partner countries to advance the accession process in a meaningful and concrete manner, ensuring that it contributes to sustainable development across all sectors. The Republic of Korea hosted this event to celebrate the 30th Anniversary of its OECD membership in 2026.
