พบหารือกับนาย Grahame Morton รองปลัดกระทรวงการต่างประเทศและการค้านิวซีแลนด์
เมื่อวันที่ 14 พฤษภาคม 2569 นายเชษฐพันธ์ มากสัมพันธ์ รองปลัดกระทรวงการต่างประเทศ พบหารือกับนาย Grahame Morton รองปลัดกระทรวงการต่างประเทศและการค้านิวซีแลนด์ ในห้วงการประชุมเจ้าหน้าที่อาวุโสอาเซียน – นิวซีแลนด์ ครั้งที่ 33 ณ เมืองไครสต์เชิร์ช นิวซีแลนด์
ทั้งสองฝ่ายหารือแนวทางส่งเสริมความร่วมมือทวิภาคีไทย – นิวซีแลนด์ โดยเฉพาะในโอกาสการเฉลิมฉลองครบรอบ 70 ปี ของความสัมพันธ์ทางการทูตระหว่างสองประเทศในปีนี้ โดยให้ความสำคัญกับการเพิ่มปฏิสัมพันธ์ระหว่างภาครัฐ ภาคเอกชน และภาคประชาชน อาทิ การเพิ่มมูลค่าการค้าและการลงทุนระหว่างกัน ความร่วมมือด้านการศึกษาและเทคโนโลยีดิจิทัล พลังงานสะอาด การใช้เทคโนโลยีเพื่อเพิ่มศักยภาพและมูลค่าเพิ่มของผลผลิตทางการเกษตร ทั้งยังแลกเปลี่ยนความเห็นเกี่ยวกับความร่วมมืออาเซียน – นิวซีแลนด์ รวมถึงพัฒนาการในภูมิภาค สถานการณ์ระหว่างประเทศ และความมั่นคงทางพลังงาน
อาเซียนและนิวซีแลนด์สถาปนาความสัมพันธ์คู่เจรจาตั้งแต่ปี 2518 โดยนิวซีแลนด์เป็นประเทศคู่เจรจาลำดับที่ 2 ของอาเซียน และสถาปนาความสัมพันธ์หุ้นส่วนเชิงยุทธศาสตร์แบบรอบด้าน (Comprehensive Strategic Partnership: CSP) ในวาระครบรอบ 50 ปี ความสัมพันธ์อาเซียน – นิวซีแลนด์ เมื่อปี 2568
On 14 May 2026, Mr. Chettaphan Maksamphan, Deputy Permanent Secretary for Foreign Affairs, had a discussion with Mr. Grahame Morton, Deputy Secretary of the Americas and Asia Group, Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade of New Zealand, on the sidelines of the 33rd ASEAN – New Zealand Dialogue in Christchurch, New Zealand.
Both sides discussed how to strengthen Thai – New Zealand relations, especially as the two countries celebrate the 70th anniversary of diplomatic relations this year. They prioritised elevating engagement of public and private sectors, as well as people-to-people connection, particularly on trade and investment, cooperation on education, digital technology, clean energy, and AgriTech. They also exchanged views on ASEAN – New Zealand cooperation, regional and international developments, and energy security.
Since 1975, New Zealand has established Dialogue Relations with ASEAN, making it the second-oldest Dialogue Partner. In 2025, ASEAN and New Zealand also established Comprehensive Strategic Partnership (CSP) on the occasion of the 50th Anniversary of their Dialogue Relations.
