ให้สัมภาษณ์ในหัวข้อ “Navigating Fragmented Multilateralism to Deliver Sustainability” ที่งาน Sustainability Week Asia ครั้งที่ 5
เมื่อวันที่ 25 มีนาคม 2569 นายสีหศักดิ์ พวงเกตุแก้ว รัฐมนตรีว่าการกระทรวงการต่างประเทศกล่าวปาฐกถาและให้สัมภาษณ์ในหัวข้อ “Navigating Fragmented Multilateralism to Deliver Sustainability” ที่งาน Sustainability Week Asia ครั้งที่ 5 จัดโดย Economist Impact (ในเครือสื่อ The Economist) ซึ่งเป็นเวทีสัมมนาธุรกิจเพื่อพูดคุยแลกเปลี่ยนประเด็นด้านเศรษฐกิจและการพัฒนาที่ยั่งยืน ซึ่งกระทรวงการต่างประเทศร่วมเป็น Host Partner โดยมีผู้เข้าร่วมจากภาคเอกชนชั้นนำ ภาคประชาสังคม และผู้เชี่ยวชาญจากทั้งไทยและต่างประเทศกว่า 1,000 คน
รัฐมนตรีฯ กล่าวถึงบทบาทนำของไทยในการส่งเสริมการพัฒนาที่ยั่งยืนในระดับภูมิภาคและระดับโลก ท่ามกลางบริบทโลกปัจจุบันที่เผชิญความท้าทายหลายด้าน อาทิ วิกฤติด้านพลังงาน ความขัดแย้งทางภูมิรัฐศาสตร์ และความเสื่อมถอยของระบบพหุภาคี พร้อมย้ำความสำคัญของการสร้างสันติภาพที่ยั่งยืน ซึ่งเป็นพื้นฐานสำคัญของการพัฒนาที่ยั่งยืน การเปลี่ยนผ่านสีเขียวและการเติบโตทางเศรษฐกิจในปัจจุบัน
นอกจากนี้ รัฐมนตรีฯ ยังย้ำถึงบทบาทนำของไทยในการผลักดันการหารือและความร่วมมือในภูมิภาคเกี่ยวกับความมั่นคงทางพลังงานและการเปลี่ยนผ่านสู่พลังงานหมุนเวียน เช่น การริเริ่มให้มีการประชุมรัฐมนตรีต่างประเทศอาเซียนสมัยพิเศษเรื่องสถานการณ์ในตะวันออกกลาง โดยย้ำว่าอาเซียนจะต้องปรับตัวให้รวดเร็วขึ้นเพื่อตอบสนองต่อความท้าทายร่วมกัน และเพื่อบรรลุเป้าหมายการพัฒนาที่ยั่งยืนไปพร้อมกับการเติบโตทางเศรษฐกิจ พร้อมยกตัวอย่างแนวทางการดำเนินนโยบายการทูตเศรษฐกิจของไทย
ภายในงาน กระทรวงฯ โดยกรมความร่วมมือระหว่างประเทศ (TICA) ยังร่วมจัดนิทรรศการเกี่ยวกับความร่วมมือเพื่อการพัฒนาระหว่างไทยกับประเทศคู่ร่วมพัฒนาต่าง ๆ โดยเฉพาะประเทศในแอฟริกา เพื่อเน้นย้ำ Thailand – Africa Initiative (TAI) ของไทยด้วย
On 25 March 2026, H.E. Mr. Sihasak Phuangketkeow, Minister of Foreign Affairs, delivered a keynote speech and gave an interview on “Navigating Fragmented Multilateralism to Deliver Sustainability” at the 5th Sustainability Week Asia. Organised by Economist Impact (a subsidiary of The Economist) with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs as Host Partner, the event advanced discussions and exchanges on key issues facing the economy, business, and sustainable development. It was attended by over 1,000 executives and experts from leading companies and civil society from Thailand and worldwide.
On this occasion, the Foreign Minister emphasised Thailand’s leading role in advancing sustainable development regionally and internationally amid emerging global challenges, such as energy crisis, geopolitical conflicts, and the erosion of multilateral cooperation. He reaffirmed the importance of sustainable peace as a basis of sustainable development, green transition, and economic growth.
In addition, the Foreign Minister underscored Thailand’s leading role in advancing regional dialogue and cooperation on energy security and transition to renewable energy. This included the recent Special ASEAN Foreign Ministers’ Meeting on the Situation in the Middle East. He shared the vision for a more agile ASEAN, capable of swiftly responding to common challenges and achieving sustainable development goals as well as economic growth, while also providing examples of approaches to implementing Thailand’s Economic Diplomacy.
At the event, the Ministry, through the Thailand International Cooperation Agency (TICA), also organised an exhibition on development cooperation between Thailand and its partner countries, particularly those in Africa under Thailand – Africa Initiative (TAI).
