การประชุมคณะทำงานไทย – กว่างซี ครั้งที่ 5
เมื่อวันที่ 21 พฤษภาคม 2568 นายปิยภักดิ์ ศรีเจริญ อธิบดีกรมเอเชียตะวันออก เป็นประธานการประชุมคณะทำงานไทย – กว่างซี ครั้งที่ 5 ร่วมกับนายเว่ย หราน อธิบดีสำนักงานการต่างประเทศเขตปกครองตนเองกว่างซีจ้วง ณ นครหนานหนิง
ทั้งสองฝ่ายได้หารือประเด็นการส่งเสริมความร่วมมือในโอกาสครบรอบ 50 ปี การสถาปนาความสัมพันธ์ทางการทูตไทย – จีน โดยเฉพาะระหว่างไทยกับเขตปกครองตนเองกว่างซีจ้วง โดยย้ำถึงการส่งเสริมความร่วมมือและศักยภาพการขยายตัวด้านการค้าและการลงทุนระหว่างกัน การอำนวยความสะดวกการขนส่งสินค้า โดยเฉพาะสินค้าเกษตร และการพัฒนาความเชื่อมโยง ทั้งทางบก น้ำ และอากาศ ตลอดจนการใช้ประโยชน์จากงานแสดงสินค้าที่แต่ละฝ่ายเป็นเจ้าภาพ โดยไทยพร้อมสนับสนุนงาน China–ASEAN Expo (CAEXPO) ครั้งที่ 22 ที่นครหนานหนิง ระหว่างวันที่ 17 – 21 กันยายน 2568
นอกจากนี้ ทั้งสองฝ่ายได้หารือถึงโอกาสและแนวทางที่จะส่งเสริมความร่วมมือด้านวิทยาศาสตร์ เทคโนโลยี นวัตกรรม เศรษฐกิจดิจิทัล และเศรษฐกิจสีเขียว รวมถึงความร่วมมือในอุตสาหกรรมใหม่ อาทิ ปัญญาประดิษฐ์ ทั้งยังหารือเกี่ยวกับการส่งเสริมความร่วมมือด้านการศึกษา การท่องเที่ยว โดยเฉพาะการท่องเที่ยวเชิงวัฒนธรรมและวิถีชุมชน รวมถึงความสัมพันธ์เมืองพี่เมืองน้อง ทั้งนี้ คณะทำงานไทย – กว่างซี จัดตั้งขึ้นเมื่อปี 2558 โดยทั้งสองฝ่ายสลับกันเป็นเจ้าภาพจัดการประชุม และไทยมีกำหนดจะเป็นเจ้าภาพการประชุมครั้งที่ 6 ในปี 2570
On 21 May 2025, Mr. Piyapak Sricharoen, Director-General of the Department of East Asian Affairs, and Mr. Wei Ran, Director-General of the Foreign Affairs Office of Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region, co-chaired the Fifth Thailand – Guangxi Working Group Meeting in Nanning.
Both sides discussed ways and means to strengthen cooperation on the occasion of the 50th Anniversary of the Establishment of Thailand – China Diplomatic Relations, particularly between Thailand and Guangxi. They reiterated their commitment to promoting Thailand – Guangxi trade and investment, recognising the strong growth potential of their business sectors. The Meeting agreed to facilitate trade, transportation, and logistics, particularly for agricultural products, and to enhance seamless connectivity via land, water, and air routes. They also agreed to leverage trade exhibitions hosted by one another. Thailand expressed its support for the 22nd China-ASEAN Expo (CAEXPO) to be held in Nanning from 17 – 21 September 2025.
In addition, both sides explored opportunities to expand cooperation in science, technology and innovation, digital economy, green economy, and emerging industries such as artificial intelligence (AI). They also discussed enhancing cooperation in education and tourism, particularly cultural and community-based tourism, as well as sister city relations. The Thailand – Guangxi Working Group was established in 2015, with meetings alternately hosted by Thailand and Guangxi. Thailand is schedule to host the 6th Meeting in 2027.
