หารือกับนาย Jassim Albudaiwi เลขาธิการองค์การคณะมนตรีความร่วมมือรัฐอ่าวอาหรับ
เมื่อวันที่ ๑๘ พฤศจิกายน ๒๕๖๖ นายวรวุฒิ พงษ์ประภาพันธ์ อธิบดีกรมเอเชียใต้ตะวันออกกลางและแอฟริกา พบหารือกับนาย Jassim Albudaiwi เลขาธิการองค์การคณะมนตรีความร่วมมือรัฐอ่าวอาหรับ (Gulf Cooperation Council: GCC) ในห้วงการประชุม IISS Manama Dialogue: 19th Regional Security Dialogue ที่กรุงมานามา ราชอาณาจักรบาห์เรน
ทั้งสองฝ่ายยินดีต่อผลการประชุมสุดยอดอาเซียน–คณะมนตรีความร่วมมือรัฐอ่าวอาหรับ ครั้งที่ ๑ (ASEAN-Gulf Cooperation Council Summit: ASEAN-GCC Summit) ที่กรุงริยาด ซาอุดีอาระเบีย รวมถึงหารือแนวทางการส่งเสริมความร่วมมือระหว่างไทยกับกลุ่มประเทศ GCC และแลกเปลี่ยนความเห็นต่อประเด็นความมั่นคงระหว่างประเทศ อาทิ บันทึกความเข้าใจระหว่างสำนักเลขาธิการ GCC กับกระทรวงการต่างประเทศ และการจัดทำความตกลงการค้าเสรีไทย – GCC และสถานการณ์ในอิสราเอล–กาซา
On 18 November 2023, H.E. Mr. Worawoot Pongprapapant, Director-General of the Department of South Asian, Middle East, and African Affairs, paid a courtesy call to H.E. Mr. Jassim Albudaiwi, Secretary-General of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) on the sidelines of IISS Manama Dialogue: 19th Regional Security Dialogue in the Kingdom of Bahrain.
During the discussion, both sides expressed their satisfaction with the first ASEAN-GCC Summit held in October 2023. They also discussed ways and means to promote cooperation between Thailand and GCC countries and exchanged views on international security issues, including the Memorandum of Understanding between the GCC Secretariat and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Thailand, Thailand – GCC Free Trade Agreement, and the situation in Israel-Gaza
