สถานเอกอัครราชทูต ณ กรุงโคเปนเฮเกน ร่วมกับพิพิธภัณฑ์จัตแลนด์ตะวันออก จัดพิธีเปิดพิพิธภัณฑ์ “Treasures of Siam” ที่เมือง Ebeltoft
เมื่อวันที่ 6 พฤษภาคม 2566 สถานเอกอัครราชทูต ณ กรุงโคเปนเฮเกน ร่วมกับพิพิธภัณฑ์จัตแลนด์ตะวันออก (Museum Østjylland) ได้จัดพิธีเปิดพิพิธภัณฑ์ Siamese Collection ภายใต้ชื่อใหม่ว่า “Treasures of Siam” ที่เมือง Ebeltoft โดยนางศิริลักษณ์ นิยม เอกอัครราชทูต ณ กรุงโคเปนเฮเกน ได้กล่าวเปิดงานร่วมกับนาย Heine Skovbak Iversen รองนายกเทศมนตรีเทศบาล Syddjurs ที่กำกับดูแลเมือง Ebeltoft และนาย Jesper Bækgaard ผู้อำนวยการพิพิธภัณฑ์จัตแลนด์ตะวันออก ในงานเลี้ยงรับรองซึ่งจัดขึ้น ณ ศูนย์วัฒนธรรมเมือง Ebeltoft โดยมีผู้เข้าร่วมงานเลี้ยงรับรองประมาณ 100 คน รวมทั้งทายาทของนาย Rasmus Peter Havmøller ผู้ก่อตั้งSiamese Collection กับนางบุญศรี เฮฟโมเลอร์ ภรรยาชาวไทย
ในโอกาสดังกล่าว เอกอัครราชทูตฯ ได้กล่าวขอบคุณเทศบาล Syddjurs และMuseum Østjylland ตลอดจนผู้เกี่ยวข้องทุกคนที่มีส่วนช่วยให้พิพิธภัณฑ์“Treasures of Siam” เปิดให้สาธารณชนเข้าชมได้อีกครั้งภายหลังจากปิดปรับปรุงซ่อมแซมมาเป็นเวลาสองปี และแสดงความชื่นชมนาย Havmøller ผู้ก่อตั้งพิพิธภัณฑ์ฯในวิสัยทัศน์ที่ได้นำของสะสมมีค่าต่างๆ จากประเทศไทยกว่า 1,600 ชิ้น ที่ได้มาในระหว่างที่ทำงานอยู่ในสยามประเทศระหว่างปี พ.ศ. 2457 – 2476 ในฐานะลูกจ้างของบริษัท East Asiatic Company มาเปิดเป็นพิพิธภัณฑ์ฯ ในเมืองชายทะเลที่เงียบสงบของ Ebeltoft ซึ่งเป็นเมืองที่สวยงามมากที่สุดเมืองหนึ่งของเดนมาร์ก และพิพิธภัณฑ์ก็ได้กลายเป็นสถานที่ที่มีบทบาทสำคัญในการแนะนำให้ชาวเมือง Ebeltoft และชาวเดนมาร์กโดยรอบรู้จักประเทศไทยมาตั้งแต่ปี พ.ศ. 2483 ซึ่งแสดงให้เห็นว่าชาวไทยและเดนมาร์กรู้จักกันและมีการติดต่อที่ใกล้ชิดกันมาเป็นเวลานานแล้ว
นอกจากนี้ เอกอัครราชทูตฯ ยังได้ย้ำให้ผู้เข้าร่วมงานทราบถึงความสัมพันธ์ระหว่างไทยกับเดนมาร์กที่ยาวนานกว่า 400 ปี นับตั้งแต่มีการติดต่อกันครั้งแรกในสมัยอยุธยา และในปี 2566 เป็นปีที่ครบรอบ 165 ปี แห่งการสถาปนาความสัมพันธ์ทางการทูตระหว่างไทยกับเดนมาร์ก ซึ่งการร่วมจัดงานกับเทศบาลเมือง Ebeltoft และMuseum Østjylland ถือเป็นโอกาสในการฉลองครบรอบ 165 ปี แห่งมิตรภาพที่ใกล้ชิดระหว่างสองประเทศ
ทั้งนี้ ในงานเลี้ยงรับรองดังกล่าวมีการจัดซุ้มอาหารไทยและผลไม้แกะสลักโดยชุมชนไทยจากกลุ่มมรดกไทย–ออร์ฮูส ตลอดจนการแสดงนาฏศิลป์ไทยในชุดรำฉุยฉายเบญกายและฟ้อนขันดอกโดยนักแสดงของกลุ่มมรดกไทย–ออร์ฮูสด้วย รวมถึงการแจกของที่ระลึกไทยและแผ่นพับประชาสัมพันธ์การท่องเที่ยวไทยแก่แขกผู้มีเกียรติ ซึ่งได้รับความสนใจและชื่นชมจากแขกผู้มาร่วมงานเป็นอย่างมาก
หลังจากงานเลี้ยงรับรอง ในช่วงเวลาประมาณ 12.00 น. เอกอัครราชทูตฯ นายIversen รองนายกเทศมนตรีเมือง Ebeltoft และนาย Jesper Bækgaard ผู้อำนวยการพิพิธภัณฑ์จัตแลนด์ตะวันออก แขกผู้มีเกียรติและชุมชนชาวไทยได้เข้าร่วมในขบวนแห่กลองยาวไปตามถนนคนเดิน (Adelgade) กลางเมือง Ebeltoft เพื่อมุ่งหน้าสู่อาคารพิพิธภัณฑ์ Treasures of Siam โดยเอกอัครราชทูตฯ ร่วมกับนาย Iversen รองนายกเทศมนตรีฯ เมือง Ebeltoft ได้ตัดริบบิ้นเปิดพิพิธภัณฑ์ฯ พร้อมการแสดงนาฏศิลป์ไทยในบริเวณลานภายนอกพิพิธภัณฑ์โดยนักแสดงชาวไทยจากกลุ่มมรดกไทย–ออร์ฮูสด้วย ซึ่งทั้งแขกผู้มาร่วมงานและนักท่องเที่ยวจำนวนมากที่เข้าร่วมชมพิพิธภัณฑ์ฯ และการแสดงภายหลังพิธีเปิดต่างรู้สึกประทับใจในศิลปะและมรดกทางวัฒนธรรมของไทยเป็นอย่างมาก โดยหนังสือพิมพ์ท้องถิ่นของ Syddjurs ได้ลงข่าวการเปิดพิพิธภัณฑ์สามารถอ่านรายละเอียดได้ที่ลิงค์https://syddjurs.lokalavisen.dk/kultur/ECE15751066/festlig-aabning-af-skatkammer-siam/

On 6 May 2023, the Royal Thai Embassy in Copenhagen, together with the Museum Østjylland, organized the opening ceremony of the Siamese Collection Museum under the new name “Treasures of Siam” in Ebeltoft. H.E. Mrs. Sirilak Niyom, Ambassador of Thailand to Denmark, gave an opening speech with Mr. Heine Skovbak Iversen, Deputy Mayor of Syddjurs Municipality in charge of Ebeltoft, and Mr. Jesper Bækgaard, Director of Museum Østjylland, in a reception organized at the Kulturloft in Ebeltoft. There were about 100 guests attended the reception, including descendants of Mr. Rasmus Peter Havmøller, founder of the Siamese Collection, and Mrs. Boonsri Havmøller, his Thai wife.
Her Excellency the Ambassador thanked the Syddjurs Municipality and the Museum Østjylland as well as all those involved in the reopening of the “Treasures of Siam” to the public after two years of renovation. She also paid tribute to Mr. Havmøller, the founder of the museum for his vision in bringing more than 1,600 artefacts of his collections, obtained while working in Siam between 1914 – 1933 as an employee of the East Asiatic Company, to open as a museum in the small seaside town of Ebeltoft, one of the most beautiful cities in Denmark. She further emphasized that the museum has played a significant role in introducing Thailand to Danish residents in Ebeltoft and surrounding areas since 1940, showing that Thai and Danish people have known each other and had close connectivity for a long time.
In addition, Her Excellency the Ambassador also reminded the participants of the relationship between Thailand and Denmark which lasts more than 400 years since their first contact, noting that 2023 marks the 165th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Thailand and Denmark. The co-organization of this event with the Syddjurs Municipality and the Museum Østjylland is an opportunity to commemorate the 165 years of close friendship between the two countries.
In the reception, there were food stalls of Thai delicacies and fruit carvings by Thai communities from the Thai Heritage Group-Aarhus, as well as Thai traditionnal dance performances “Ram Chui Chai Benyakai” and “ Fon Khan Dok” conducted by performers of the Thai Heritage Group-Aarhus. Thai souvenirs and tourism brochures were also distributed to distinguished guests. These received a lot of attention and admiration of the guests who attended the event.
After the reception around 12.00, Her Excellency the Ambassador, Mr. Iversen, Deputy Mayor of Ebeltoft, Mr. Jesper Bækgaard, Director of the Museum Østjylland, distinguished guests and the Thai community participated in a long drum parade down the walking street (Adelgade) in the center of Ebeltoft to the museum’s building. The Ambassador together with Mr. Iversen, Deputy Mayor of Ebeltoft, cut the ribbon to inaugurate the Siamese Collection museum under the new name “Treasures of Siam”. After the opening, Thai traditional performances were conducted in the courtyard of the museum by Thai performers of the Thai Heritage Group-Aarhus which attracted many guests and tourists and made a great impression to them about Thai art and cultural heritage.
