ร่วมมือกันจัดคูหาแสดงสินค้าอาหารไทยในงาน International Food and Technology Expo 2023 (INFTEXPO 2023)
ระหว่างวันที่ 10 – 13 สิงหาคม 2566 สถานเอกอัครราชทูต ณ กรุงอัมมาน โดยความร่วมมือและการสนับสนุนจากกรมเศรษฐกิจระหว่างประเทศ (กระทรวงการต่างประเทศ) สำนักงานส่งเสริมการค้าในต่างประเทศ ณ เมืองเจดดาห์ สมาคมการค้าอาหารอนาคตไทย และสมาคมมิตรภาพจอร์แดน–ไทย ได้ร่วมมือกันจัดคูหาแสดงสินค้าอาหารไทยในงาน International Food and Technology Expo 2023 (INFTEXPO 2023) ณ ศูนย์นิทรรศการนานาชาติจอร์แดน (Jordan International Exhibition Center) กรุงอัมมาน โดยมีนาย Abedfattah Al- Kayed ตำแหน่ง Chief Executive Director ของJordan Enterprise Development Corporation เป็นประธานเปิดงานและได้ให้เกียรติเยี่ยมชมคูหาแสดงสินค้าของไทยด้วย
คูหาแสดงสินค้าของไทยแบ่งเป็น 2 ส่วน โดยส่วนแรกคือ Thailand: Kitchen of the World ซึ่งเป็นการแสดงสินค้าอาหารที่ผลิตในไทยเพื่อส่งออกไปยังจอร์แดนโดยใช้ยี่ห้อของจอร์แดน และผลิตภัณฑ์สินค้าอาหารยี่ห้อของไทยที่มีการนำเข้ามาจำหน่ายในจอร์แดน ทั้งนี้ เพื่อแสดงถึงศักยภาพของอุตสาหกรรมอาหารไทยในฐานะแหล่งผลิตอาหารที่สำคัญของโลก รวมทั้งเป็นการสนับสนุนนโยบาย “ครัวไทย สู่ครัวโลก” ด้วยขณะที่ส่วนที่สองคือ Thailand: Future Food โดยเน้นจัดแสดงสินค้าอาหารอนาคต(future food) อาทิ เนื้อและเครื่องดื่มที่ผลิตจากพืช เครื่องแกงมังสวิรัติ ขนมธัญพืชเครื่องดื่มแทนอาหาร และเส้นหมี่จากไข่ขาวจากบริษัทที่มีศักยภาพของไทย ซึ่งสะท้อนให้เห็นถึงนวัตกรรมด้านอาหารที่ใช้เทคโนโลยีเชิงสร้างสรรค์และเป็นเทรนด์ปัจจุบันอย่างหนึ่งของอุตสาหกรรมโลกที่ต่อยอดกระบวนการผลิตอาหารเพื่อตอบโจทย์การลดภาวะโลกร้อน ไปพร้อมกับสร้างระบบอาหารที่ยั่งยืนของโลก และคำนึงถึงสุขภาพของผู้บริโภค ทั้งนี้ อาหารประเภทนี้จะช่วยตอบสนองต่อความท้าทายของการเพิ่มจำนวนประชากรโลกและการเปลี่ยนแปลงของการผลิตอาหารที่อาจไม่พอเพียงในอนาคตนอกจากนี้ ยังเป็นการสนับสนุนการเปิดตลาดใหม่ ๆ สำหรับอาหารอนาคตของไทยในจอร์แดนและภูมิภาคตะวันออกกลางด้วย
งาน INFTEXPO 2023 เป็นงานแสดงสินค้าและเทคโนโลยีด้านอาหารในจอร์แดนในรูปแบบการจับคู่ทางธุรกิจระหว่างผู้ประกอบการ (B2B) จัดโดยบริษัท Pulse International โดยจัดครั้งแรกเมื่อปี 2565 และปีนี้จัดขึ้นเป็นครั้งที่ 2 กลุ่มเป้าหมายหลักของงาน ได้แก่ ผู้ผลิตอาหาร/เครื่องดื่ม ภาคการเกษตร ปศุสัตว์ บรรจุภัณฑ์อาหารเครื่องจักรที่เกี่ยวกับอาหาร และแฟรนไชส์ เป็นต้น
นอกจากไทยแล้ว ยังมีกว่า 100 บริษัท/หน่วยงานอื่น ๆ เข้าร่วมงานดังกล่าวจากนานาประเทศ อาทิ จอร์แดน ซาอุดีอาระเบีย มาเลเซีย โอมาน ศรีลังกา ยูเออี อิยิปต์ อินเดียซีเรีย ปาเลสไตน์ เลบานอน บัลแกเรีย ยูเครน และตุรกี
During 10 – 13 August 2023, the Royal Thai Embassy in Amman, in cooperation with the Department of International Economic Affairs (Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Thailand), Thai Trade Center in Jeddah, Thai Future Food Trade Association, and Jordan-Thailand Friendship Association, participated in the International Food and Technology Expo 2023 (INFTEXPO 2023) at Jordan International Exhibition Center, Amman. Mr. Abedfattah Al- Kayed, Chief Executive Officer of Jordan Enterprise Development Corporation (JEDCO), presided over the opening ceremony and visited Thailand’s booth, exhibiting a variety of quality food products.
Thai food products were displayed in two sections, namely 1) “Thailand: Kitchen of the World” and 2) “Thailand: Future Food”. Thailand: Kitchen of the World section featured major food products manufactured in Thailand under Jordanian and Thai brands, showcasing the strong capacity of Thai food industry to serve as “Kitchen of the World”. On the other hand, Thailand: Future Food section displayed samples of future food products designed and produced by innovative and forward-looking Thai manufacturers. This section reflects Thailand’s innovation and technology on the future food sector which is an emerging trend in the international food industry that is geared towards reducing global warming, strengthening sustainable global food supply chain, and promoting a healthy lifestyle that would meet the challenges of a growing global population and changing food systems. These food products include plant-based alternative, cultured meat, and other technological advancements in food production. The Royal Thai Embassy’s participation in this trade fair also supports the Thai food manufacturers through exploring new market in Jordan and the Middle East, especially for innovative future food products.
INFTEXPO 2023 is the second edition of Business-to-Business (B2B) international food and beverage trade fair organized by Pulse International. The event was first held in 2022. The targeted sectors include food and beverage, agriculture, livestock, packaging, logistics and machinery related to food, and franchises. Around 100 businesses/enterprises from many countries, including Jordan, Saudi Arabia, Malaysia, Oman, Sri Lanka, UAE, Egypt, India, Syria, Palestine, Lebanon, Bulgaria, Ukraine, and Türkiye participated in this year’s trade fair.
