อธิบดีกรมความร่วมมือระหว่างประเทศ นำคณะเจ้าหน้าที่เข้าร่วมการศึกษาดูงานโครงการเพิ่มประสิทธิภาพการผลิตและลดภาวะโลกร้อน
จากการทำนาเพื่อการพัฒนาที่ยั่งยืน (Thai Rice NAMA) ณ ศูนย์เรียนรู้ลดโลกร้อน นาแปลงใหญ่ เกษตรสมัยใหม่ใส่ใจสิ่งแวดล้อม อ. เดิมบางนางบวช จ.สุพรรณบุรี
เมื่อวันที่ ๘ มีนาคม ๒๕๖๖ นางอุรีรัชต์ เจริญโต อธิบดีกรมความร่วมมือระหว่างประเทศร่วมกับนาย Reinhold Elges ผู้อำนวยการองค์กรความร่วมมือระหว่างประเทศของเยอรมนี (GIZ) ประจำประเทศไทย เดินทางไปร่วมการศึกษาดูงานโครงการเพิ่มประสิทธิภาพการผลิตและลดภาวะโลกร้อนจากการทำนาเพื่อการพัฒนาที่ยั่งยืน (Thai Rice NAMA) ณ ศูนย์เรียนรู้ลดโลกร้อน นาแปลงใหญ่ เกษตรสมัยใหม่ใส่ใจสิ่งแวดล้อม โดย นางอรุณี ไฮม์ม รองอธิบดี ร.ท.สรวุฒิ ปรีดีดิลก อัครราชทูต ณ กรุงเฮลซิงกิ ปฏิบัติหน้าที่ ณ กรมความร่วมมือระหว่างประเทศ พร้อมด้วยเจ้าหน้าที่ที่เกี่ยวข้องจากกรมความร่วมมือระหว่างประเทศร่วมด้วย
ในโอกาสนี้ นางสวณีย์ โพธิ์รัง เกษตรกรตัวอย่าง และผู้จัดการนาแปลงใหญ่เดิมบางนางบวชได้แนะนำโครงการการดำเนินงานของศูนย์เรียนรู้ลดโลกร้อน นาแปลงใหญ่ เกษตรสมัยใหม่ใส่ใจสิ่งแวดล้อม นางสวณีย์ฯ ได้เล่าถึงประสบการณ์ของตนและเพื่อนเกษตรกรที่ได้ตระหนักถึงความสำคัญและได้ตัดสินใจเข้าร่วมโครงการโดยนางสวณีย์ฯ ได้นำเสนอตัวอย่างความสำเร็จของตนเองอย่างภาคภูมิใจ ซึ่งได้กลายเป็นจุดกระตุ้นให้เกษตรกรคนอื่นๆ ติดตามและเข้าร่วมโครงการ ในการนี้ อธิบดีอุรีรัชต์ฯ ได้มีโอกาสรับทราบผลสำเร็จทีเป็นรูปธรรมของความพยายามร่วมกันในการส่งเสริมเศรษฐกิจคาร์บอนต่ำด้วยการลดการปล่อยก๊าซเรือนกระจกในประเทศไทยโดยผ่านความร่วมมือกับคู่ร่วมมือที่มีศักยภาพของกรมความร่วมมือฯ โดยจะพิจารณาความเป็นไปได้ในการขยายโครงการไปยังประเทศกำลังพัฒนาอื่นๆ ต่อไป
อนึ่ง โครงการ Thai Rice NAMA เป็นหนึ่งในจำนวนหลายโครงการที่กรมความร่วมมือฯ ดำเนินงานร่วมกับรัฐบาลเยอรมนีและ GIZ เพื่อส่งเสริมศักภาพในการปรับตัวและรับมือกับการเปลี่ยนแปลงสภาพภูมิอากาศ โดยโครงการ Thai Rice NAMA มีวัตถุประสงค์เพื่อสนับสนุนให้เกษตรกรสามารถเข้าถึงเทคโนโลยีการปลูกข้าวที่ช่วยลดการปล่อยก๊าซเรือนกระจกและช่วยเพิ่มผลผลิตและรายได้แก่เกษตรกร
Director-General of Thailand International Cooperation Agency (TICA) visited the project site of the Thai Rice NAMA Project at the Global Warming Mitigation Learning Center, Doem Bang Nang Buat District. Suphan Buri Province.
On 8 March 2023 Mrs. Ureerat Chareontoh, Director-General of Thailand International Cooperation Agency (TICA), joined Mr. Reinhold Elges, Thailand Country Director of Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit GmbH (German Agency for International Development – GIZ), on a visit to the Thai Rice Nationally Appropriate Mitigation Action (Thai Rice NAMA) project site at the Global Warming Mitigation Learning Center at Doem Bang Nang Buat District, Suphan Buri Province. Mrs. Arunee Hiam, Deputy Director-General of TICA, Lt. Sorawud Preededilok, Minister, attached to Thailand International Cooperation Agency, along with relevant officers also joined the visit.
During the visit, Mrs. Saowanee Pothirang, a role-model farmer and Doem Bang Nang Buat Rice field manager, provided background information on the project. She explained how she and other farmers had realised the importance of the project and decided to participate in it. She proudly presented details of her individual success, which had served as the trigger point for other farmers to follow and join the project.
DG. Ureerat has had the opportunity to see for herself the outcome of joint efforts to promote a low-carbon economy by reducing greenhouse gas emissions in Thailand. Given the tangible and positive results, in collaboration with TICA’s potential partners, she plans to explore the possibility of extending the project to other developing countries.
The Thai Rice NAMA Project is one of numerous cooperative projects between TICA and GIZ in response to the negative impacts of climate change. The aim of these projects is to promote farmers’ access to farming technology that, in combination with traditional farming practices, can produce low-emission rice production with increased yields
