กระทรวงการต่างประเทศเชิญผ้าพระกฐินพระราชทานไปทอดถวายณ All India Bhikkhu Sangha จังหวัดคยา รัฐพิหาร สาธารณรัฐอินเดีย
วันที่ 11 ตุลาคม 2568 นางสาวศศิริทธิ์ ตันกุลรัตน์ รองปลัดกระทรวงการต่างประเทศ เป็นประธานในการเชิญผ้าพระกฐินพระราชทานจากพระบาทสมเด็จพระเจ้าอยู่หัวไปทอดถวาย ณ All India Bhikkhu Sangha จังหวัดคยา รัฐพิหาร สาธารณรัฐอินเดีย โดยมีพระพรหมวชิรโพธิวงศ์ เจ้าอาวาสวัดไทยพุทธคยาและหัวหน้าคณะพระธรรมทูตสายอินเดีย-เนปาล เป็นประธานฝ่ายสงฆ์ และพระภิกขุ ปรัชญาทีป (Bhikkhu Pragya Deep) เจ้าอาวาส พร้อมพระภิกษุสงฆ์องค์กรวัด All India Bhikkhu Sangha ร่วมประกอบพิธี
ผู้เข้าร่วมพิธีประกอบด้วยนางสาวชวนาถ ทั่งสัมพันธ์ เอกอัครราชทูต ณ กรุงนิวเดลี นางสาวศิริพร ตันติปัญญาเทพ กงสุลใหญ่ ณ เมืองกัลกัตตา นายปาณิดล ปัจฉิมสวัสดิ์ รองอธิบดีกรมสารนิเทศ พร้อมด้วยกงสุลใหญ่ของไทยในอินเดีย ข้าราชการกระทรวงการต่างประเทศ ทีมประเทศไทย ตลอดจนพุทธศาสนิกชนชาวไทยและอินเดีย รวมทั้งแขกผู้มีเกียรติฝ่ายอินเดีย Dr. Mahashweta Maharathi เลขาธิการ Bodhgaya Temple Management Committee (BTMC) ผู้บริหารระดับสูงของรัฐพิหาร
การเชิญผ้ากฐินพระราชทานครั้งนี้ สามารถรวบรวมเงินบริจาคซึ่งประกอบไปด้วยเงินบำรุงพระอารามพระราชทานจากพระบาทสมเด็จพระเจ้าอยู่หัว เงินบริจาคโดยเสด็จพระราชกุศลจากกระทรวงการต่างประเทศและผู้มีจิตศรัทธาชาวไทยและชาวอินเดีย รวมทั้งสิ้น 560,911 บาท และ 49,510 รูปี (หรือประมาณ 18,200 บาท) และในโอกาสเดียวกันนี้ สถานกงสุลใหญ่ ณ เมืองกัลกัตตา ร่วมกับพระธรรมทูตสายอินเดีย-เนปาล และวัดไทยพุทธคยา ได้จัดพิธีมอบพระพุทธชยันตีศรีสยาม จำนวน 74 องค์ แก่ชุมชนชาวพุทธในเมืองคยา และมอบถุงยังชีพให้แก่ผู้ยากไร้ชาวอินเดีย
All India Bhikkhu Sangha เป็นองค์กรวัดพุทธศาสนานิกายเถรวาท ก่อตั้งขึ้นเมื่อปี 2515 เพื่อฟื้นฟูพระพุทธศาสนาในอินเดียภายใต้การอุปถัมภ์ของวัดไทยพุทธคยา ปัจจุบันมีพระสงฆ์ในเครือข่ายกระจายอยู่ทั่วประเทศอินเดีย และมีการดำเนินกิจกรรมเผยแผ่พระพุทธศาสนามาอย่างต่อเนื่อง เช่น การสอนธรรมะ การอบรมภาษาบาลี การเจริญสมาธิวิปัสสนา การจัดสัมมนาทางวิชาการด้านพระพุทธศาสนาอย่างสม่ำเสมอ
การเชิญผ้าพระกฐินพระราชทานไปทอดถวายในอินเดียครั้งนี้ นับเป็นครั้งที่ 15 ซึ่งสะท้อนถึงความสัมพันธ์ระหว่างไทยกับอินเดียที่มีความลึกซึ้งและเชื่อมโยงมาเป็นเวลานานกว่า 2,000 ปี โดยมีพระพุทธศาสนาเป็นรากฐานในการเสริมสร้างความใกล้ชิดและความร่วมมือที่แน่นแฟ้น
อนึ่ง กระทรวงการต่างประเทศได้ดำเนินโครงการเชิญผ้าพระกฐินพระราชทานไปทอดถวาย ณ วัดพุทธศาสนาในต่างประเทศมาตั้งแต่ปี 2538 เป็นประจำทุกปีจนถึงปัจจุบัน โดยเน้นวัดพุทธศาสนาที่เป็นที่เคารพศรัทธาของพุทธศาสนิกชนในท้องถิ่น โดยขยายจากประเทศเพื่อนบ้าน ไปยังประเทศในกลุ่มอาเซียน ภูมิภาคเอเชียใต้ ตลอดจนภูมิภาคเอเชียตะวันออกที่มีประชาชนนับถือพุทธศาสนาด้วย โดยในปี 2568 ได้อัญเชิญผ้าพระกฐินพระราชทานไปทอดถวาย จำนวน 8 ประเทศ ได้แก่ อินเดีย เมียนมา มาเลเซีย ภูฏาน ศรีลังกา ลาว เวียดนาม และจีน
โครงการดังกล่าวเป็นส่วนหนึ่งของการดำเนินงานด้านการทูตวัฒนธรรม เพื่อกระชับความสัมพันธ์ระหว่างประเทศ โดยเฉพาะอย่างยิ่งในระดับประชาชนสู่ประชาชน
Ministry of Foreign Affairs presents the Royal Kathina Robes at All India Bhikkhu Sangha, Gaya, Bihar, India
On 11 October 2025, Ms. Sasirit Tankulrat, Deputy Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Thailand, presided over the Presentation Ceremony of the Royal Kathina Robes at All India Bhikkhu Sangha, Gaya, Bihar, India. His Majesty King Maha Vajiralongkorn Phra Vajiraklaochaoyuhua of Thailand has graciously bestowed the Royal Kathina Robes upon the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Thailand for the presentation to the congregation of Buddhist Monks. The Ceremony was led by Phra Phromvajiravongs, Chairperson of the Thai Buddhist Missionary in India–Nepal and Abbot of Wat Thai Buddhagaya, together with Bhikkhu Pragya Deep, Abbot of the All India Bhikkhu Sangha, and members of the Sangha.
The event was also attended by H.E. Ms. Chavanart Thangsumphant, Ambassador of Thailand to India, Ms. Siriporn Tantipanyathep, Consul-General in Kolkata, Mr. Panidone Pachimsawat, Deputy Director-General of the Department of Information, Consuls-General of Thailand in India, officials of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Team Thailand, members of the Thai and Indian Buddhist communities, and distinguished guests, including Dr. Mahashweta Maharathi, Secretary of the Bodhgaya Temple Management Committee (BTMC).
This year’s Royal Kathina offering received contributions from His Majesty the King, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and Thai and Indian devotees with total donations amounting to 560,911 THB and 49,510 INR. On this occasion, the Royal Thai Consulate-General in Kolkata, in collaboration with the Dhammaduta Bhikkhus Thai Mission in India-Nepal and Wat Thai Buddhagaya, presented 74 Buddha Statues “Phra Buddha Jayanti Sri Siam” to local Buddhist communities and distributed consumption goods and essential supplies to local people.
The All India Bhikkhu Sangha, a Theravada Buddhist organization established in 1972 under the patronage of Wat Thai Buddhagaya, has played a vital role in revitalizing Buddhism in India through Dhamma teachings, Pali language training, Vipassana meditation, and Buddhist academic activities.
This event marks the 15th Royal Kathina Ceremony organized by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in India, underscoring the long-standing spiritual and cultural bonds between the two sides rooted in their shared Buddhist heritage spanning over two millennia.
Since 1995, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs has organized the Presentation of the Royal Kathina Robes annually at Buddhist temples abroad as part of Thailand’s cultural diplomacy efforts to strengthen friendship and foster people-to-people ties through Buddhism. The initiative has gradually expanded from neighbouring countries to ASEAN members, South Asia, and East Asia. In 2025, the Royal Kathina Robes are being presented in eight countries – India, Myanmar, Malaysia, Bhutan, Sri Lanka, Lao PDR, Viet Nam, and China.
