เมื่อวันที่ 25 มีนาคม 2569 นางสาวสมฤดี พู่พรอเนก รักษาการอธิบดีกรมยุโรป พบหารือกับนาย Remco van Wijngaarden เอกอัครราชทูตเนเธอร์แลนด์ประจำประเทศไทย
ทั้งสองฝ่ายหารือการส่งเสริมความร่วมมือทวิภาคีระหว่างไทยกับเนเธอร์แลนด์ในมิติต่าง ๆ ซึ่งรวมถึงการบริหารจัดการน้ำ การรักษาความปลอดภัยของโครงสร้างพื้นฐานใต้น้ำ การส่งเสริมความร่วมมือเชิงเทคนิคระหว่างมหาวิทยาลัยไทยกับสถาบันเทคโนโลยีชั้นนำของเนเธอร์แลนด์ เพื่อพัฒนาทักษะและยกระดับองค์ความรู้ของไทยด้านเซมิคอนดักเตอร์ รวมถึงโอกาสการลงทุนจากบริษัท ASML ซึ่งเป็นบริษัทด้านเซมิคอนดักเตอร์ชั้นนำของเนเธอร์แลนด์ ตลอดจนความร่วมมือระหว่างไทยกับสหภาพยุโรปในการต่อต้านอาชญากรรมทางไซเบอร์และการเก็บกู้ทุ่นระเบิดเพื่อมนุษยธรรม
ทั้งสองฝ่ายแลกเปลี่ยนความคิดเห็นเกี่ยวกับสถานการณ์ในตะวันออกกลาง โดยเห็นพ้องในการยึดหลักกฎหมายระหว่างประเทศและกติกาสากลเพื่อการอยู่ร่วมกันอย่างสันติ ขณะที่ฝ่ายเนเธอร์แลนด์แจ้งการผ่อนคลายคำแนะนำการเดินทางสำหรับนักท่องเที่ยวชาวเนเธอร์แลนด์ที่จะเดินทางมาไทย เนื่องจากสถานการณ์ชายแดนไทย – กัมพูชาที่คลี่คลายลง
On 25 March 2026, Ms. Somrudee Poopornanake, Acting Director-General of the Department of European Affairs, had a discussion with H.E. Mr. Remco van Wijngaarden, Ambassador of the Kingdom of the Netherlands to Thailand.
Both sides discussed the promotion of bilateral cooperation between Thailand and the Netherlands across various fields, including water management, protection of underwater infrastructure, and strengthening of technical collaboration between Thai universities and leading Dutch high-tech institutions to enhance Thailand’s capabilities and human capital in the semiconductor sector. They also discussed potential investment opportunities in Thailand by ASML, a leading Dutch semiconductor company, as well as cooperation between Thailand and the European Union in combating cybercrime and advancing humanitarian demining efforts.
Both sides exchanged views on the situation in the Middle East, reaffirming their shared commitment to upholding international law and the rules-based international order to promote peaceful coexistence. The Dutch side also informed Acting DDG of the relaxation of its travel advisory for Dutch nationals traveling to Thailand, in light of the improving situation along the Thailand – Cambodia border.
