พบปะหารือประจำปีระหว่างเอกอัครราชทูตนอร์เวย์ประจำประเทศอาเซียนกับเอกอัครราชทูตอาเซียนประจำนอร์เวย์
เมื่อวันที่ 20 สิงหาคม นางสาวนิธิวดี มานิตกุล เอกอัครราชทูต ณ กรุงออสโลได้เข้าร่วมงานพบปะหารือประจำปีระหว่างเอกอัครราชทูตนอร์เวย์ประจำประเทศอาเซียนกับเอกอัครราชทูตอาเซียนประจำนอร์เวย์ รวมทั้งข้าราชการกระทรวงการต่างประเทศนอร์เวย์ และภาคเอกชนนอร์เวย์ จัดโดย Singapore-Norway Chamber of Commerce โดยมีนาย Andreas Motzfeldt Kravik รัฐมนตรีช่วยว่าการกระทรวงการต่างประทศนอร์เวย์เป็นแขกเกียรติยศ และเอกอัครราชทูตนิธิวดีฯ ได้รับเชิญให้กล่าวในฐานะเอกอัครราชทูตไทย หนึ่งใน 5 ประเทศสมาชิกอาเซียนที่เป็นผู้ก่อตั้ง
เอกอัครราชทูตนิธิวดีฯ กล่าวถึงวิสัยทัศน์กว้างไกลของรัฐมนตรีว่าการกระทรวงการต่างประเทศยุคดังกล่าวที่ทำให้อาเซียนเข้มแข็งทุกวันนี้ และขยายสมาชิกจาก 5 ชาติก่อตั้ง ได้แก่ ไทย มาเลเซีย อินโดนีเซีย ฟิลิปปินส์ และสิงคโปร์จนครบ 11 ประเทศเวลานี้ อย่างไรก็ตาม ปัจจุบันสถานการณ์การแข่งขันภูมิรัฐศาสตร์ ภูมิเศรษฐศาสตร์ทำให้ประเทศระดับเล็กหรือระดับกลางต้องเป็นพันธมิตรกัน เพื่อเกื้อกูลกัน โดยเฉพาะอย่างยิ่งการที่สหรัฐฯ ใช้มาตรการภาษีตอบโต้การค้ามีผลกับทุกประเทศ ประเทศไทยโชคดีที่สามารถบรรลุข้อตกลงการค้าเสรีระหว่างไทยกับสมาชิกประเทศแอฟต้า ซึ่งรวมทั้งนอร์เวย์ ซึ่งจะช่วยขยายการค้าและการลงทุนของประเทศทั้งสอง ซึ่งปัจจุบันไม่เพียงแต่บริษัทนอร์เวย์ลงทุนในไทยแต่ไทยมาลงทุนในนอร์เวย์ เช่น บริษัท Thai Union Group ลงทุนในบริษัทผลิตปลาในกระป๋องชื่อ King Oscar เป็นต้น
ต่อจากนั้น เอกอัครราชทูตนิธิวดีฯ ได้กล่าวถึงปัญหาความขัดแย้งชายแดนไทย-กัมพูชา โดยให้ข้อมูลว่า ที่ผ่านมา ไทยยืนยันความมุ่งมั่นปฏิบัติตามการหยุดยิงและประณามการโจมตีที่ไม่เลือกปฏิบัติของกัมพูชาซึ่งได้สร้างความสูญเสียและเสียหายต่อประชาชน รวมถึงการใช้ทุ่นระเบิดของฝ่ายกัมพูชาที่ทำให้ทหารไทยที่อยู่ระหว่างการลาดตระเวนในพื้นที่ของไทยได้รับบาดเจ็บและพิการ โดยการวางทุ่นระเบิดดังกล่าวเป็นการละเมิดพื้นที่อธิปไตยของไทยและหลักบูรณภาพแห่งดินแดน และเป็นการละเมิดกฎหมายมนุษยธรรมระหว่างประเทศและอนุสัญญาออตตาวา ไทยขอเรียกร้องให้นอร์เวย์ซึ่งมีบทบาทสำคัญในการให้ความช่วยเหลือด้านการเก็บทุ่นระเบิดแก่กัมพูชา พิจารณาทบทวนการให้ความช่วยเหลือดังกล่าว และขอให้กัมพูชาร่วมมือในการเก็บกู้ทุ่นระเบิดตามชายแดนไทย-กัมพูชาด้วย
On 20 August, 2025, H.E. Ms. Nitivadee Manitkul, Ambassador of the Kingdom of Thailand to Norway attended the annual gathering of Ambassadors of ASEAN countries in Norway and Norwegian Ambassadors to ASEAN countries together with officials from the Royal Norwegian Foreign Ministry and business sector arranged by Singapore-Norway Chamber of Commerce. Mr. Andreas Motzfeldt Kravik, State Secretary of the Royal Norwegan Foreign Ministry, was also invited to speak as the guest of honour.
In her remarks, Ambassador Nitivadee in the capacity of the Ambassador from Thailand, one of the five founders of ASEAN, addressed the success of the establishment of ASEAN thanks to the vision of the five Ministers of Foreign Affairs from Thailand, Malaysia, Indonesia, the Philippines and Singapore and currently expanded to 11 member countries in Southeast Asia.
However, amidst the current Geo-politics and Geo-economic situation, including the impacts of the US reciprocal tarriffs on nearly all countries, small and medium size countries are required to more cooperate and be partner to explore more opportunities in trade and investment. Thailand is fortunate to conclude and sign Thailand-EFTA Free Trade Agreement enabling Thailand and Norway more accessible to their markets as well as both inbound and outbound investment. Nowadays not only have Norwegian business established in Thailand but Thai companies like Thai Union Group, Thailand-based producer of seafood based products also owned the Norwegian’s leading canning companies “King Oscar.
Ambassador Nitivadee also shared the updates on the Thailand-Cambodia border situation, whereby Thailand reaffirmed full commitment to the ceasefire and condemned the indiscriminate attacks by Cambodia that have resulted in losses and damages to civilians. Thailand also condemned the use of anti-personnel landmines by Cambodia that caused permanent disabilities and injuries to Thai soldiers while on patrol within the Thai territorial integrity as well as international humanitarian law and the Ottawa Convention. Thailand called on Norway as a donor country to landmine clearance efforts in Cambodia, to review Norwegian assistance and urge Cambodia to cooperate with Thailand on demining along Thailand-Cambodia border.
