เข้าพบนาง Susan Kleebank รองปลัดด้านเอเชีย-แปซิฟิก ณ กระทรวงการต่างประเทศบราซิล
เมื่อวันที่ 13 สิงหาคม 2568 นางสาวกุนทินี อักษรวงศ์ เอกอัครราชทูต ณ กรุงบราซิเลีย ได้เข้าพบนาง Susan Kleebank รองปลัดด้านเอเชีย-แปซิฟิก ณ กระทรวงการต่างประเทศบราซิล เพื่อให้ข้อเท็จจริงเกี่ยวกับสถานการณ์ไทย-กัมพูชา โดยมีนาย Everton Lucero อธิบดีกรมอินเดีย เอเชียใต้และเอเชียตะวันออกเฉียงใต้ พร้อมด้วยนาย Ricardo Poletto ผู้อำนวยการกองเอเชียตะวันออกเฉียงใต้ เข้าร่วมด้วย
ในการนี้ เอกอัครราชทูตฯ ย้ำเจตนารมณ์ของไทยในการแก้ไขปัญหาด้วยสันติวิธี บนพื้นฐานของการให้ความเคารพต่อหลักมนุษยธรรมและกฎหมายระหว่างประเทศ อีกทั้ง ขอเรียกร้องให้ยุติการกระทำใด ๆ ที่เกี่ยวข้องกับการบิดเบือนข้อมูลและการนำเสนอข้อมูลอันเป็นเท็จ ซึ่งนอกจากจะสะท้อนความพยายามปกปิดความจริงโดยตั้งใจ ยังจะยิ่งบั่นทอนบรรยากาศแห่งการเจรจาในอนาคต รวมถึงความน่าเชื่อถือและชื่อเสียงของประเทศไทยในเวทีโลก
นอกจากนี้ เอกอัครราชทูตฯ ได้ขอบคุณฝ่ายบราซิลที่ได้ติดตามสถานการณ์ดังกล่าวอย่างใกล้ชิดและด้วยความห่วงกังวล ซึ่งสะท้อนผ่านการออกแถลงการณ์ของกระทรวงการต่างประเทศบราซิล จำนวนทั้งสิ้น 2 ฉบับ เมื่อเดือน ก.ค. 2568 พร้อมทั้งเน้นว่า ดังเช่นบราซิล ไทยเป็นประเทศที่รักสงบและไม่ประสงค์ที่จะมีความขัดแย้งกับเพื่อนบ้านใด ๆ โดยที่ผ่านมา ไทยได้ใช้ความอดทนอดกลั้นอย่างถึงที่สุดมาโดยตลอด และพร้อมเจรจาเพื่อหาทางออกผ่านกรอบกลไกทวิภาคีที่มีอยู่แล้วระหว่างไทยกับกัมพูชาอย่างยั่งยืนและด้วยความจริงใจและสุจริตใจ อีกทั้ง การตอบโต้ของฝ่ายไทยเป็นไปตามสิทธิป้องกันตนเองจากการรุกราน เป็นไปอย่างมีสัดส่วน และจำกัดอยู่เฉพาะการโจมตีทางทหารที่จำเป็นเท่านั้น
รองปลัด Kleebank ได้ขอบคุณเอกอัครราชทูตฯ สำหรับข้อมูลที่เป็นประโยชน์อย่างยิ่ง และยินดีที่ได้รับทราบพัฒนาการที่ดีจากการประชุมคณะกรรมการชายแดนทั่วไป (GBC) ไทย-กัมพูชา สมัยวิสามัญ พร้อมกล่าวสนับสนุนให้ทั้งสองประเทศแก้ไขปัญหาอย่างสันติเพื่อนำมาซึ่งสันติภาพที่ยั่งยืนของประชาชนสองฝ่าย
ทั้งสองฝ่ายยังได้ใช้โอกาสการพบกันครั้งนี้แลกเปลี่ยนข้อคิดเห็นและหารือประเด็นต่าง ๆ ที่เกี่ยวข้องกับการส่งเสริมความสัมพันธ์ทวิภาคีระหว่างไทยกับบราซิล โดยเฉพาะอย่างยิ่งการผลักดันให้เกิดการประชุมภายใต้กลไกการหารือทวิภาคี Political Consultations ไทย-บราซิล ครั้งที่ 4 ที่ประเทศไทย ในปีนี้
On 13 August 2025, H.E. Ms. Kundhinee Aksornwong, Ambassador of Thailand to Brazil, had a meeting with H.E. Mrs. Susan Kleebank, Secretary of Asia and the Pacific, at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Brazil, to provide information regarding Thailand-Cambodia situation. The meeting was also attended by H.E. Mr. Everton Lucero, Director of India, South and Southeast Asia Department, and Mr. Ricardo Poletto, Head of Southeast Asia Division.
In this regard, Ambassador Kundhinee affirmed Thailand’s commitment to peaceful resolution of disputes with full respect to international law and humanitarian principles. Her Excellency also urged ones to refrain from conducting any actions related to disinformation campaign and spread of misinformation, as they shown not only an attempt to conceal the truth, but also a deliberate effort to undermine a favorable environment for future negotiations as well as Thailand’s credibility and reputation on the international stage.
Furthermore, the Ambassador extended her appreciation to the Brazilian side for having closely followed the situation with concern, reflecting in the two official statements by the Ministry of Foreing Affairs of Brazil published in July 2025. In addition, Ambassador Kundhinee emphasized that like Brazil, Thailand was a country which always supported peace and never wanted to engage in conflicts with any of its neighbors. Thailand always exercised utmost restraints, while standing ready to resolve the tensions through the existing bilateral mechanisms between Thailand and Cambodia, in a sustainable manner and in good faith. It is important to highlight that Thailand’s response has always been in self-defense and limited to necessary military targets.
Secretary Kleebank appreciated Ambassador Kundhinee for the very useful information and welcomed positive outcome and developments from the Extraordinary Cambodia-Thailand General Border Committee (GBC) Meeting. She also expressed her support for peaceful resolution of disputes for the two countries, so as to bring about sustainable peace to their peoples.
Both sides also took this opportunity to exchange view and discuss on issues related to the bilateral relations between Thailand and Brazil, especially ways to push forward for the organization of the 4th Thailand-Brazil Political Consultations in Thailand this year
Em 13 de agosto de 2025, Sua Excelência, Sra. Kundhinee Aksornwong, Embaixadora da Tailândia no Brasil, reuniu-se com Sua Excelência, Sra. Susan Kleebank, Secretária da Ásia e Pacífico, no Ministério das Relações Exteriores do Brasil, para fornecer informações sobre a situação Tailândia-Camboja. A reunião também contou com a presença de Sua Excelência, Sr. Everton Lucero, Diretor do Departamento da Índia, Sul e Sudeste Asiático, e do Sr. Ricardo Poletto, Chefe da Divisão do Sudeste Asiático.
Nesse sentido, a Embaixadora Kundhinee afirmou o compromisso da Tailândia com a resolução pacífica de disputas, com pleno respeito ao direito internacional e aos princípios humanitários. Sua Excelência também urgiu as pessoas a se abster de quaisquer ações relacionadas a campanhas de desinformação e disseminação de informações falsas, visto que demonstram não apenas uma tentativa de ocultar a verdade, mas também um esforço deliberado para minar um ambiente favorável a futuras negociações, bem como a credibilidade e a reputação da Tailândia no cenário internacional.
Além disso, a Embaixadora expressou o seu agradecimento ao lado brasileiro por ter acompanhado de perto a situação com preocupação, refletida nas duas declarações oficiais do Ministério das Relações Exteriores do Brasil publicadas em julho de 2025. Ademais, a Embaixadora Kundhinee enfatizou que, assim como o Brasil, a Tailândia foi um país que sempre apoiou a paz e jamais quis se envolver em conflitos com nenhum de seus vizinhos. A Tailândia sempre exerceu a máxima contenção, mantendo-se pronta para resolver as tensões por meio dos mecanismos bilaterais existentes entre a Tailândia e o Camboja, de forma sustentável e de boa-fé. É importante destacar que a resposta da Tailândia sempre foi em legítima defesa e limitada aos alvos militares necessários.
A Secretária Kleebank agradeceu à Embaixadora Kundhinee pelas informações extremamente úteis e comemorou os resultados e desenvolvimentos positivos da Reunião Extraordinária do Comitê Geral de Fronteiras (GBC) Camboja-Tailândia. Ela também expressou seu apoio à resolução pacífica de disputas entre os dois países, a fim de promover uma paz sustentável para seus povos.
Ambos os lados também aproveitaram a oportunidade para trocar opiniões e discutir questões relacionadas às relações bilaterais entre a Tailândia e o Brasil, especialmente maneiras de realizar a organização da 4ª Reunião da Consultas Políticas entre a Tailândia e o Brasil, na Tailândia este ano.
