พบหารือกับนายอาชูร ซาลิม อาชูร อุมรอน อุปทูตฯ สถานเอกอัครราชทูตรัฐลิเบียประจำประเทศไทย
เมื่อวันที่ 14 สิงหาคม 2569 นางอุรษา มงคลนาวิน อธิบดีกรมเอเชียใต้ ตะวันออกกลางและแอฟริกา พบหารือกับนายอาชูร ซาลิม อาชูร อุมรอน อุปทูตฯ สถานเอกอัครราชทูตรัฐลิเบียประจำประเทศไทย ซึ่งเข้าพบเพื่ออำลาในโอกาสพ้นหน้าที่
อธิบดีฯ ขอบคุณอุปทูตฯ สำหรับบทบาทในการส่งเสริมความสัมพันธ์ระหว่างไทยกับลิเบียตลอดระยะเวลาที่ปฏิบัติหน้าที่ในประเทศไทย และย้ำถึงความสำคัญของภูมิภาคแอฟริกา ซึ่งสะท้อนในนโยบายต่างประเทศของไทย โดยเฉพาะภายใต้ข้อริเริ่ม Thailand – Africa Initiative (TAI)
อธิบดีฯ ยังขอบคุณรัฐบาลลิเบียที่ให้ความเห็นชอบการแต่งตั้งเอกอัครราชทูต ณ กรุงไคโร ให้ดำรงตำแหน่งเอกอัครราชทูตวิสามัญผู้มีอำนาจเต็มประจำรัฐลิเบีย โดยมีถิ่นพำนัก ณ กรุงไคโร
อุปทูตฯ กล่าวแสดงความประทับใจต่อการปฏิบัติหน้าที่ในประเทศไทยตลอดระยะเวลา 6 ปี รวมทั้งมิตรภาพและการสนับสนุนที่ได้รับจากฝ่ายไทยตลอดมา พร้อมทั้งย้ำว่าไทยเป็นหุ้นส่วนความร่วมมือที่สำคัญของลิเบีย และยืนยันความมุ่งมั่นที่จะสนับสนุนการพัฒนาความสัมพันธ์และความร่วมมือระหว่างลิเบียกับไทยต่อไป
On 14 August 2026, Mrs. Urasa Mongkolnavin, Director-General of the Department of South Asian, Middle East and African Affairs, met with Mr. Ashoor Salem Ashoor Omran, Chargé d’Affaires a.i. of the Embassy of the State of Libya to Thailand, who paid a farewell call upon the completion of his tenure in Thailand.
The Director-General expressed her appreciation to the Chargé d’Affaires for his contribution to the promotion of Thailand – Libya relations throughout his tenure in Thailand. She reaffirmed the importance of Africa in Thailand’s foreign policy, particularly through the Thailand – Africa Initiative (TAI).
The Director-General also expressed her appreciation to the Libyan side for granting the agrément for the appointment of the Ambassador of Thailand to Egypt as Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Thailand to the State of Libya, with residence in Cairo, noting that this would help further strengthen bilateral relations between the two countries.
The Chargé d’Affaires expressed his appreciation for the friendship and support extended by the Thai side throughout his six years of service in Thailand. He emphasized that Thailand is an important partner of Libya and reaffirmed his commitment to continuing to support the further strengthening of relations and cooperation between Libya and Thailand.
