พบหารือกับนางฮันนัน สุไลมาน รองผู้อำนวยการบริหารกองทุนเพื่อเด็กแห่งสหประชาชาติ (ยูนิเซฟ)
เมื่อวันที่ 15 พฤษภาคม 2569 นายอรรถยุทธ์ ศรีสมุทร ที่ปรึกษารัฐมนตรีว่าการกระทรวงการต่างประเทศ พบหารือกับนางฮันนัน สุไลมาน รองผู้อำนวยการบริหารกองทุนเพื่อเด็กแห่งสหประชาชาติ (ยูนิเซฟ) ในโอกาสเยือนไทย โดยมีนางจูน คุนูกิ ผู้อำนวยการองค์การยูนิเซฟประจำภูมิภาคเอเชียตะวันออกและแปซิฟิก และนายเคน เลกินส์ ผู้อำนวยการองค์การยูนิเซฟ ประเทศไทย เข้าร่วมด้วย
ทั้งสองฝ่ายแลกเปลี่ยนความเห็นเกี่ยวกับแนวทางการเสริมสร้างความร่วมมือระหว่างรัฐบาลไทยกับองค์การยูนิเซฟ และการเพิ่มขีดความสามารถในการดำเนินงานขององค์การยูนิเซฟ ผ่านการจัดตั้งศูนย์ความเป็นเลิศด้านเด็กและความยืดหยุ่นต่อสภาพภูมิอากาศที่กรุงเทพฯ รวมถึงการจัดตั้งสำนักงานภูมิภาคเอเชีย – แปซิฟิกขององค์การยูนิเซฟในประเทศไทย ซึ่งที่ปรึกษารัฐมนตรีฯ ยืนยันความพร้อมของไทยในการเป็นที่ตั้งขององค์การระหว่างประเทศต่าง ๆ และความมุ่งมั่นในการสนับสนุนการดำเนินงานขององค์การยูนิเซฟเพื่อส่งเสริมและคุ้มครองสิทธิของเด็กทุกคน
On 15 May 2026, H.E. Mr. Arthayudh Srisamoot, Advisor to the Minister of Foreign Affairs, had a discussion with Ms. Hannan Sulieman, Deputy Executive Director for Management, United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF), during her visit to Thailand. Also in attendance was Ms. June Kunugi, UNICEF Regional Director for East Asia and the Pacific, and Mr. Ken Legins, UNICEF Representative for Thailand.
Both sides exchanged views on strengthening cooperation between Thailand and UNICEF, and enhancing UNICEF’s capacity through the establishment of UNICEF Centre of Excellence on Children and Climate Resilience in Bangkok and UNICEF Asia-Pacific Regional Office (UNICEF APRO) in Thailand. The Advisor to the Foreign Minister reaffirmed Thailand’s readiness to serve as a host country for international organizations and its commitment to supporting UNICEF’s mandate to promote and protect the rights of all children.
