พบหารือกับนางรุคซานา อัฟซอล เอกอัครราชทูตสาธารณรัฐอิสลามปากีสถานประจำประเทศไทย
เมื่อวันที่ 10 เมษายน 2569 นายสีหศักดิ์ พวงเกตุแก้ว รองนายกรัฐมนตรีและรัฐมนตรีว่าการกระทรวงการต่างประเทศ พบหารือกับนางรุคซานา อัฟซอล เอกอัครราชทูตสาธารณรัฐอิสลามปากีสถานประจำประเทศไทย
ทั้งสองฝ่ายหารือสถานการณ์ในตะวันออกกลาง โดยรองนายกรัฐมนตรีฯ ชื่นชมบทบาทของปากีสถานในการเป็นตัวกลางในไกล่เกลี่ยและอำนวยความสะดวกการเจรจาระหว่างสหรัฐฯ กับอิหร่าน ซึ่งนำไปสู่การเจรจาหยุดยิงและการเจรจาสันติภาพ รวมถึงความสำเร็จในการหารือระหว่างปากีสถานกับอิหร่านเพื่ออำนวยความสะดวกให้เรือสัญชาติปากีสถานเดินทางผ่านช่องแคบฮอร์มุซ ทั้งยังหารือความเป็นไปได้ที่จะดำเนินความร่วมมือระหว่างกันเพื่ออำนวยความสะดวกให้เรือสินค้าที่มีความจำเป็นของไทยสามารถเดินทางผ่านช่องแคบฮอร์มุซได้โดยเร็ว
ทั้งสองฝ่ายยังหารือความร่วมมือทวิภาคี โดยเฉพาะการจัดการประชุมคณะกรรมาธิการร่วม (Joint Commission) ไทย – ปากีสถาน ภายในปีนี้ เพื่อส่งเสริมความสัมพันธ์ระหว่างสองประเทศให้แน่นแฟ้นยิ่งขึ้น
On 10 April 2026, H.E. Mr. Sihasak Phuangketkeow, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs, held a discussion with H.E. Mrs. Rukhsana Afzaal, Ambassador of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan to Thailand.
Both sides exchanged views on the ongoing situation in the Middle East. The Deputy Prime Minister commended Pakistan’s role in mediating and facilitating the ceasefire and ongoing peace talks between the U.S. and Iran, as well as the successful arrangement between Pakistan and Iran to facilitate the safe passage of Pakistani-flagged vessels through the Strait of Hormuz. They also explored cooperation between Thailand and Pakistan to facilitate the safe passage of essential Thai cargo vessels through the Strait of Hormuz.
Both sides also discussed bilateral cooperation, particularly the convening of the first Thailand – Pakistan Joint Commission (JC) within this year, to further strengthen relations between the two countries.
