หารือเกี่ยวกับสถานการณ์ที่เกิดจากการปิดด่านสะพานมิตรภาพไทย – เมียนมา แห่งที่ 2 (แม่สอด – เมียวดี)
เมื่อวันที่ 17 กันยายน 2568 นางศิริลักษณ์ นิยม รองปลัดกระทรวงการต่างประเทศ เป็นประธานการประชุมร่วมกับหน่วยงานที่เกี่ยวข้องและภาคเอกชน เพื่อหารือเกี่ยวกับสถานการณ์ที่เกิดจากการปิดด่านสะพานมิตรภาพไทย – เมียนมา แห่งที่ 2 (แม่สอด – เมียวดี) ชั่วคราว ซึ่งมีผลตั้งแต่วันที่ 18 สิงหาคม 2568 ตามประกาศของทางการเมียนมา
ที่ประชุมได้หารือเกี่ยวกับมาตรการทั้งระยะเร่งด่วนและระยะยาวเพื่อบรรเทาและลดผลกระทบจากการปิดด่านฯ รวมถึงแนวทางในการแก้ไขปัญหาเกี่ยวกับระเบียบของทางการเมียนมาในการนำเข้าสินค้าและการพัฒนาเส้นทางขนส่งทางเลือก โดยหน่วยงานไทยที่เกี่ยวข้องจะยังคงประสานงานกับฝ่ายเมียนมาอย่างต่อเนื่องผ่านกลไกที่มีอยู่เพื่อส่งเสริมการค้าชายแดน
On 17 September 2025, Mrs. Sirilak Niyom, Deputy Permanent Secretary for Foreign Affairs, chaired a meeting with relevant agencies and the private sector to discuss the situation arising from the temporary closure of the 2nd Thai – Myanmar Friendship Bridge (Mae Sot – Myawaddy), which has been in effect since 18 August 2025 following Myanmar’s announcement.
The meeting discussed both immediate and longer-term measures to mitigate the impact of the closure, including ways to address challenges related to Myanmar’s import regulations and the development of alternative transportation routes. The relevant Thai authorities will continue to engage with their Myanmar counterparts through established channels to help maintain the flow of cross-border trade.
