ทางโทรศัพท์กับนายอิวายะ ทาเกชิ รัฐมนตรีว่าการกระทรวงการต่างประเทศญี่ปุ่น
เมื่อวันที่ 30 กรกฎาคม 2568 นายมาริษ เสงี่ยมพงษ์ รัฐมนตรีว่าการกระทรวงการต่างประเทศ ได้หารือทางโทรศัพท์กับนายอิวายะ ทาเกชิ รัฐมนตรีว่าการกระทรวงการต่างประเทศญี่ปุ่น เกี่ยวกับสถานการณ์บริเวณชายแดนไทย – กัมพูชา
ฝ่ายไทยใช้โอกาสนี้ชี้แจงข้อเท็จจริงเกี่ยวกับสถานการณ์ฯ และย้ำถึงความมุ่งมั่นของไทยที่จะแก้ปัญหาด้วยกลไกทวิภาคีที่ไทยและกัมพูชามีอยู่ด้วยความจริงใจและโดยสันติวิธีมาโดยตลอด ซึ่งฝ่ายญี่ปุ่นสนับสนุนแนวทางการดำเนินการของไทยและเห็นว่า หากทุกฝ่ายเห็นพ้อง ญี่ปุ่นพร้อมที่จะมีบทบาทร่วมในการช่วยแก้ไขสถานการณ์ฯ ต่อไปในฐานะมิตรประเทศของไทย
นอกจากนี้ ทั้งสองฝ่ายยังได้แลกเปลี่ยนมุมมองเกี่ยวกับการส่งเสริมความร่วมมือระหว่างไทยกับญี่ปุ่นโดยเฉพาะด้านการค้าและการลงทุน
On 30 July 2025, H.E. Mr. Maris Sangiampongsa, Minister of Foreign Affairs, had a telephone discussion with H.E. Mr. Iwaya Takeshi, Minister for Foreign Affairs of Japan, regarding the situation along the Thailand – Cambodia border.
The Thai side used the opportunity to clarify facts surrounding the situation, and reiterated Thailand’s continued determination to resolve the issue using existing bilateral mechanisms between Thailand and Cambodia through peaceful means and in good faith. The Japanese side supported Thailand’s efforts and expressed its readiness to support efforts to resolve the issue as a friend of Thailand.
In addition, both sides also exchanged views on promoting Thailand – Japan cooperation, especially in trade and investment.
