เยือนประเทศไทยอย่างเป็นทางการ
เมื่อวันที่ 3 กุมภาพันธ์ 2568 นางสาวพินทุ์สุดา ชัยนาม อธิบดีกรมองค์การระหว่างประเทศ พบหารือกับนาง Catalina Devandas ผู้แทนของผู้อำนวยการใหญ่และผู้อำนวยการอาวุโสประจำสำนักความร่วมมือ การรณรงค์ และการสื่อสาร องค์การระหว่างประเทศเพื่อการโยกย้ายถิ่นฐาน (International Organization for Migration: IOM) ในโอกาสเยือนประเทศไทยอย่างเป็นทางการเพื่อเข้าร่วมการประชุมทบทวนการดำเนินการตามข้อตกลงระหว่างประเทศเพื่อการโยกย้ายถิ่นฐานที่ปลอดภัย เป็นระเบียบ และปกติ ประจำภูมิภาคเอเชียและแปซิฟิก ครั้งที่ 2 (Second Asia-Pacific Regional Review of Implementation of the Global Compact for Safe, Orderly and Regular Migration : GCM) ระหว่างวันที่ 4 – 6 กุมภาพันธ์ 2568 ที่ศูนย์การประชุมแห่งสหประชาชาติ กรุงเทพฯ
ทั้งสองฝ่ายได้แลกเปลี่ยนความเห็นเกี่ยวกับการส่งเสริมความร่วมมือระหว่างประเทศไทยกับ IOM รวมทั้งกับรัฐสมาชิกต่าง ๆ ในการบริหารจัดการเรื่องการโยกย้ายถิ่นฐานและการคุ้มครองสิทธิของผู้โยกย้ายถิ่นฐานในประเทศไทยและภูมิภาค พร้อมทั้งหารือเกี่ยวกับการให้ความช่วยเหลือทางมนุษยธรรมตามแนวชายแดนไทย-เมียนมา โดยเฉพาะด้านสาธารณสุขและการศึกษา รวมไปถึงการประชุมทบทวนการดำเนินการตาม GCM ครั้งที่ 2 และการประชุม International Migration Review Forum ที่จะจัดขึ้นในปี 2569 ที่นครนิวยอร์ก ตลอดจนโครงการร่วมต่าง ๆ และการส่งเสริมทัศนคติเชิงบวกและสร้างสรรค์ต่อผู้โยกย้ายถิ่นฐาน
On 3 February 2025, Ms. Pinsuda Jayanama, Director-General of the Department of International Organizations, discussed with Ms. Catalina Devandas, Representative of the Director-General and Senior Director for Partnerships, Advocacy and Communications, International Organization for Migration (IOM), on the occasion of the latter’s official visit to Thailand to attend the Second Asia-Pacific Regional Review of Implementation of the Global Compact for Safe, Orderly and Regular Migration (GCM) during 4 – 6 February 2025 at the United Nations Conference Centre (UNCC) in Bangkok.
Both sides exchanged views on the promotion of collaboration between Thailand and the IOM, as well as with other Member States, on managing migration and protecting the rights of migrants in Thailand and the region, the provision of humanitarian assistance along the Thailand-Myanmar border, especially in the areas of public health and education, including the Asia-Pacific Regional Review of Implementation of the GCM and the upcoming International Migration Review Forum (IMRF) in 2026, alongside the joint project on promoting positive and constructive narratives and perceptions of migrants.
