เอกอัครราชทูตฯ ณ กรุงเบิร์น ได้เชิญผู้แทนภาคส่วนต่าง ๆ ในสวิตเซอร์แลนด์เข้าร่วมพิธีเปิดงานเทศกาลไทย ครั้งที่ 24
นายจิตติพัฒน์ ทองประเสริฐ เอกอัครราชทูตฯ ณ กรุงเบิร์น ได้เชิญผู้แทนภาคส่วนต่างๆ ในสวิตเซอร์แลนด์เข้าร่วมพิธีเปิดงานเทศกาลไทย ครั้งที่ 24 โดยมีผู้เข้าร่วมทั้งจากภาครัฐของสวิตเซอร์แลนด์ อาทิ นาย Heinrich Schellenberg, Head of Asia and Pacific Division กระทรวงการต่างประเทศสวิตเซอร์แลนด์ นาย Erwin Bollinger, Head of Bilateral Economic Relations Division and Federal Council Delegate for Trade Agreements สำนักงานเศรษฐกิจสวิตเซอร์แลนด์ และนาย Philipp Baeriswyl, Head of Protocol รัฐสภาสวิตเซอร์แลนด์ รวมทั้งเอกอัครราชทูตผู้แทนถาวรไทยประจำสหประชาชาติ ณ นครเจนีวาและคู่สมรส เอกอัครราชทูตผู้แทนถาวรไทยประจำองค์การการค้าโลกและองค์การทรัพย์สินทางปัญญาโลก และคู่สมรส ตลอดจนคณะทูตต่างประเทศประจำกรุงเบิร์นและนครเจนีวา และคู่สมรส อาทิ จีน ญี่ปุ่นสาธารณรัฐเกาหลี เวียดนาม ฟิลิปปินส์ อียิปต์ เมียนมา มาเลเซีย อินโดนีเซียปากีสถาน อินเดีย อียิปต์ จอร์แดน สาธารณรัฐโดมินิกัน แองโกล่า รวมถึงกงสุลใหญ่กิตติมศักดิ์ไทยประจำเมืองบาเซิลและนครซูริก ทีมประเทศไทย และผู้แทนภาคเอกชนตลอดจนเทศบาล Köniz ซึ่งเป็นเขตที่ตั้งของสถานเอกอัครราชทูตฯ
ในการจัดงานฯ ปีนี้ สถานเอกอัครราชทูตฯ ได้คำนึงถึงมิติของการพัฒนาอย่างสมดุลและยั่งยืน การใช้ทรัพยากรอย่างคุ้มค่า เป็นมิตรกับสิ่งแวดล้อม การส่งเสริมนวัตกรรมและเทคโนโลยีสีเขียว ทั้งการกำหนดให้ใช้ภาชนะที่นำกลับมาใช้ใหม่ การกำจัดขยะอย่างเป็นระบบและมีการสร้างมูลค่าเพิ่ม โดยร่วมกับบริษัทท้องถิ่นในกรุงเบิร์นนำขยะอาหารไปผลิตเป็นพลังงานเชื้อเพลิงและไฟฟ้า รวมถึงการจัดแสดงปะการังเทียมพร้อมข้อมูลของบริษัท SCG ซึ่งจะช่วยสร้างความตระหนักรู้เกี่ยวกับโมเดลเศรษฐกิจ Bio-Circular-Green (BCG) Economy Model หรือ โมเดลเศรษฐกิจ BCG ตามนโยบายของรัฐบาลไทย และแสดงให้เห็นถึงความมุ่งมั่นของไทยในการขับเคลื่อนการดำเนินการเพื่อบรรลุเป้าหมายการพัฒนาที่ยั่งยืน (SDGs) ขององค์การสหประชาชาติ
ทั้งนี้ สถานเอกอัครราชทูต ณ กรุงเบิร์น ได้จัดงานเทศกาลไทยต่อเนื่องมาเป็นเวลายาวนานถึง 26 ปี ทำให้งานเทศกาลไทยเป็นที่รู้จักอย่างกว้างขวางและ “ติดตลาด” รวมทั้งเปรียบเสมือน “จุดนัดพบประจำปี” ของทั้งชาวไทย ชาวสวิตเซอร์แลนด์ และชาวต่างชาติ โดยมีผู้เข้าร่วมงานเทศกาลไทย ครั้งที่ 24 ในปีนี้อย่างคับคั่งทั้งในวันที่ 8 และวันที่ 9 กรกฎาคม 2566 รวมประมาณ 10,000 คน จึงเป็นโอกาสอันดีในการส่งเสริมความสัมพันธ์ในระดับประชาชน เผยแพร่ความเป็นไทยในมิติต่าง ๆ ในวงกว้าง โดยเฉพาะด้านศิลปะ วัฒนธรรม และนโยบายที่สำคัญของไทย ซึ่งจะช่วยสร้างเสริมความเชื่อมั่นให้กับประเทศไทยได้ต่อไป
On July 8th, 2023, H.E. Mr. Chittipat Tongprasroeth, Ambassador of Thailand to Switzerland, welcomed representatives from various government agencies and diplomatic missions to the opening ceremony of the 24th Thai Festival. Distinguished guests included Mr. Heinrich Schellenberg, Head of Asia and Pacific Division, Federal Department of Foreign Affairs of Switzerland, Mr. Erwin Bollinger, Head of Bilateral Economic Relations Division and Federal Council Delegate for Trade Agreements, Mr. Philipp Baeriswyl, Head of Protocol of Federal Assembly, Ambassador and Permanent Representative of Thailand to the UN in Geneva and spouse, Ambassador and Permanent Representative of Thailand to the World Trade Organization and the World Intellectual Property Organization in Geneva and spouse. In addition, Ambassadors and Chargé d ’Affaires of the Embassies of China, Japan, Republic of Korea, Viet Nam, Philippines, Myanmar, Malaysia, Indonesia, Pakistan, India, Egypt, Jordan, Dominican Republic, and Angola. Additionally, Thai Honorary Consuls-General in Basel and Zürich, members of Team Thailand, representatives from private sectors, and officials from the Municipality of Köniz, where the Embassy is located, were also in attendance.
This year’s highlights included the importance of sustainable and balanced development, efficient and eco-friendly resource utilization, and the advancement of green innovation and technology. To this end, the Embassy actively encouraged all shops at the 24th Thai Festival to apply the use of reusable containers, collaborated with local Bernese companies in recycling food waste to generate fuel energy and electricity, and exhibited an impressive “Artificial Coral Reef,” crafted from recycled materials by Siam Cement Group. This would raise awareness about Bio-Circular-Green (BCG) Economy Model and reflect Thailand’s commitment to driving forward the UN’s Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
The Royal Thai Embassy in Bern has organized the Thai Festival continuously for 26 years, making it a highly regarded annual event in the city of Bern. The Festival has become a meeting point for Thai people, Swiss residents, and international visitors. This year’s festival attracted approximately 10,000 attendees, providing a valuable platform for fostering people-to-people contact, showcasing features inter alia Thai arts&culture, Thainess (way of living and thinking), incorporating government’s priorities and relevant policies which would help boost confidence in the country.
